I’m sure by now you guys are all well aware of my love for Fall, especially October. I figured what better way to ease into Blogtober than talk about some of the things I’m really excited about this month? 🤗
1.) MY 6 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH SAUL
Ummm, I cannot believe we’ve been together for 6 years! Time truly flies. On October 5, 2013, I went on a blind date, and the rest is history. It’s funny – I remember going out for martinis the night before my date with my BFF Jena, and she basically had to talk me into going because I was a nervous wreck. (I’m such an anxious person in general, and I don’t do well “dating”.) Jen totally boosted my confidence, and by Saturday night I was still freaking out, but I wasn’t backing out, which is a good thing. Thank God I didn’t bail on that date! Who knew that on October 5th of 2013 I would meet the man of my dreams? Or that six years later, here we would be – planning our wedding, for next December!? It’s funny how things work out.
To celebrate, we’re going pumpkin picking (of course I chose this) and then we’re going for lunch. I’m not sure what else we’re doing, but it’s going to be an Errie/Saully day for sure. And I honestly don’t care what we do – I have fun with Saul when we’re just sitting on the couch, watching mindless TV together. I love him the most, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him. ❤️
2.) TRYING ON WEDDING DRESSES FOR THE FIRST TIME.
I’m so excited for this, but I’m also nervous AF. It’s such a huge deal (even though I keep trying to be so nonchalant about it.) Jena & Melissa are coming with me (I made an appointment at David’s Bridal) and we’re going to make a day out of it. It’s a destination wedding – so I don’t want anything crazy. I’ll post one of the dresses I absolutely love. But you never know, I could try it on and hate it, so we’ll see!
3.) MEETING WITH A NUTRITIONIST
I‘ve struggled with my weight for nearly all of my adult life, and I finally realized that I needed to stop with “diets” and do something that will truly be a lifestyle change for me. I’m meeting with someone named Tori at the end of the month, and the facility that I chose to go to takes a holistic approach to nutrition, which I found very intriguing. Tori seems great, and I’m excited to meet with her. I have so many wonderful things coming up within the next year, and I just want to feel my best, and be my best self. Happy and healthy is my goal – I’ve thrown “being skinny” out the window. And I’m totally fine with that.
4.) DECORATING FOR HALLOWEEN 👻
I can’t believe I haven’t done this yet, since it’s already October 2nd, but I can’t wait to get the house all spooky! I decorated last year, and I thought it looked super cute. Hopefully I’ll have time this weekend to get all my Halloween stuff out!
5.) HALLOWEEN 🎃
I truly just love Halloween in general. Watching scary movies, cuddling on the couch with hot chocolate or soup, with a warm fuzzy blanket and my fall scented candles lit sounds absolutely heavenly. I haven’t dressed up in forever, but I used to love Halloween parties. (Maybe I’ll do a costume post at some point this month, talking about Halloween parties just inspired me.) As of right now I have no costume party plans, but I’m totally fine with doing the latter!
