RHOBH: EAT YOUR HEART OUT

Not going to lie, I feel like this episode was totally a filler episode, which is honestly unacceptable this early on in the season. But I will say that I love Erika Jayne so much, and watching her gives me genuine joy. Anyway.

We start out with Kyle meeting LVP at Villa Rosa. They head out to Epione, where Lisa “rejuvenates her neck.” Honestly, this scene made me sad, because we know that in real time, Lisa & Kyle aren’t speaking. I feel like they truly do have a good friendship, it seems sincere to me & they always have fun together. They’re being silly; Lisa gets laughing gas before getting the fillers, and they’re just having a good time. It feels as though they’re totally good one on one, but can’t handle being friends with everyone else around.

Erika meets Rinna & Dorit for lunch. Erika orders a beer – whatever they have in a bottle, and Dorit loves this. She starts reminiscing on old times, where she did “keg handstands” when she was 16. (Isn’t it just called a keg stand? LOL.) Dorit fills Rinna in on the robbery – and somewhat of the Lucy situation. She tells Lisa that she can’t even talk about the dog situation. It’s clearly bothering her. Dorit also suggests a Girls Trip.

They talk about possible places they could go (Erika nonchalantly saying, “I think we have a place in Tahoe” is giving me life 😂) and they end up settling on The Bahamas.

Over at Denise’s, we’re learning more about her and her family. She has three daughters, Sami, who we see in this scene, Lola, and Eloise. Sami and Lola’s Dad is Charlie Sheen, and Eloise, the youngest at age 7, was adopted. Denise actually addresses that there was a rumor that Eloise was Charlie’s daughter, that he had with a hooker. She says it’s untrue. They have a beautiful house on the beach in Malibu, and Denise’s boyfriend, Aaron, also lives with them. Denise and Aaron have been together for a year.

Denise asks Sami about Homecoming – Sami says she hasn’t been asked, but she’s going if she does get asked. Denise tells her she can’t date until she’s 16, and that her father would agree with her. Sami calls her dad (Charlie) right then and there to ask him, and I love his response that he would trust her judgment about who she would go with. Denise disagrees, but we don’t talk about the conversation any further.

At Dorit’s, we watch her telling PK that she is planning a Girls Trip, and is going to invite everyone. Yes, even Teddi! Dorit says that she wants to give Teddi a chance – their arguments have all been trivial, and she’s ready to move on. PK asks if she’s going to invite LVP, to which Dorit replies, “Of course.” It’s obvious Dorit is fretting about the Lucy situation – she tells us in her confessional that she just hopes Lisa knows that she had good intentions. She wants to move forward with that situation also.

I have to say, you guys, PK was kinda sorta growing on me in this scene. I know – like WTF!? I don’t know – he just seemed really supportive of Dorit & it was nice. I’m sure I’ll change my mind next week, but for now, I’m okay with PK. 😂 (Please don’t roast me.)

Teddi & Rinna meet, and they’re going on a hike/walk. Teddi tells Lisa about a role she just played in a movie. She says that she wanted to be an actress when she was younger, but her manager told her she had to lose weight if she wanted to get a role, which crushed her. Hearing Teddi talk about her struggle with food was very relatable to me, and is probably relatable to a lot of people. Teddi said that “food was her best friend” – she was an emotional eater. I understand that feeling completely. Honestly, Teddi is inspiring to me. I feel like I need an accountability coach, and I wish I lived in LA so she could be mine. Also I give her so much credit for all of her hard work and determination. It’s so motivating. You go girl.

Kyle visits Mauricio at work, and she gets emotional when she talks about the fact that Sophia is leaving for college. Mauricio is really sweet – he reassures Kyle. I understand where Kyle’s coming from – I’m not a mom, but I think a lot also has to do with change. It’s hard.

At Rinna’s, she’s taking to her daughter Amelia, who has opened up about the fact she had an eating disorder. Amelia seems wise beyond her years to me. She addresses the disorder and says, “I’m not out of it. I’ll never be out of it.” Which is true of anyone who has an eating disorder, addiction, mental health issue – you can get through it, but it’s still something you battle for the rest of your life. Amelia is very strong and very mature, especially seeing that she’s only 17.

Lisa Rinna is having the girls over to do some baking/pastry making/I don’t really know what. LVP & Kyle aren’t coming – Kyle is doing a Tequila Tasting w/Mauricio (did I hear that right?) and Rinna says that Giggy is sick.

Cut to LVP & Ken – she meets him at the restaurant for lunch, and she tells us she’s just too emotional to go over to Rinna’s and put on a happy face when it’s just a facade. Totally understandable. Lisa tells Ken about the girls trip, and he thinks that Lisa should go. Lisa admits she could use the break but is worried about leaving, especially with Giggy being sick. We learn that Giggy needs a pace maker and my heart breaks. Poor little babe. Lisa also brings up Dorit, and tells Ken – “Sometimes Dorit calls it wrong.” She tells us in her confessional that she thinks Dorit handled the Lucy situation all wrong – but she loves her anyway. (Side note: If all of this is true, then why the hell are we still talking about!?)

Back at Rinna’s, the girls are all getting along and being silly. We learn that Aaron, Denise’s boyfriend, is currently still married to Nicolette Sheridan. She tells us that they’ve been separated for two years but their divorced isn’t finalized, and they’re getting married as soon as it is. We then learn that once upon a time Harry Hamlin was also married to Nicolette Sheridan. LMAO, did not know that. I’m not sure if Rinna says she cheated on him with Michael Bolton, but we all cheers to him, so that’s that.

The girls are all ready to go to The Bahamas – they’re off in the PJ. I actually really liked Dorit in this scene, she was so excited to be the one who planned the trip.

She tells LVP she wants to share a suite with her, and LVP says she’s not sharing a room with anyone. LVP is a tricky one sometimes. I honestly feel like this was Dorit extending an olive branch to her, and then they could be alone, off camera, and have a chance to talk and clear the air, and make things right between them again.

However, after LVP says she’s not sharing with anyone, she asks Kyle if she can stay in a three person suite with her. (Something along those lines, I might have the wording wrong.) Kyle then sticks up for Dorit, who looks hurt.

LVP says that Dorit snores, and I can’t tell if she’s just poking fun at Dorit and trying to be silly, or if she’s actually just being a bitch and this is her way of trying to get back at her.

Next week, shit looks like it’s about to go down. And I cannot wait.

Tell me all your thoughts! Leave me a comment.

Until next week….

RHOD: A RECIPE FOR DISASTER

We start out with D’Andra and Jeremy, and they’re doing a photo shoot for Hard Night Good Morning, D’Andra’s skin care line. We learn that D’Andra’s college roomie named the company, because D was a former party girl, and you could party all night and still look great the next morning.  I love that D’Andra and Jeremy work so well together – they have such palpable chemistry, it’s so obvious how in love they are.  I love watching them.  D’Andra is the face of her own company, and Jeremy is the photographer on the shoot.

Kameron is helping host the Elizabeth W. Boutique Opening, and Cary and LeeAnne attend the event. The girls get to chatting, and I’m not liking where this conversation is headed.  LeeAnne brings up Cary’s launch party and how hurt she is by D’Andra saying that she & Rich lead separate lives.  Cary doesn’t really want any part of it, however, in her confessional she does say that she hopes LeeAnne realizes how much it hurts to talk about someone’s family, because that’s exactly how Cary felt last year when LeeAnne said some not so nice things about Mark.  (Karma?)

LeeAnne is really stirring the pot in this scene, if you want my honest opinion. She’s coming across like she’s concerned about D’Andra, but saying things like, “you’re showing up to a charity event sloshed and shitfaced” is not showing concern, it’s throwing out accusations that aren’t even true.  Cary really doesn’t want anything to do with this conversation, that much is clear.  And Kameron is just nodding and agreeing with everything LeeAnne says.  I do find it funny, too, that when Cary asks LeeAnne if D’Andra ever had a prior drinking issue, LeeAnne doesn’t really answer the question, but dances around it.  Last week, LeeAnne absolutely implied that D had a previous problem.  I’m not liking this at all.

After the Hard Night Good Morning Shoot, Jeremy and D’Andra are talking, and D tells him she’s stressed about the upcoming cooking class. Jeremy asks why LeeAnne is even invited, and she tells him that Mama Dee invited her and Kameron, but explains how awkward it is right now because of what’s going on between the two former besties. Jeremy tells D’Andra that “that’s just how she is”.

Back over at the Boutique Opening, LeeAnne is still talking about D’Andra & Brandi. She thinks that her words are constantly getting twisted by both girls.  She mentions that she doesn’t have that problem with Cary, Kameron or Stephanie – just D’Andra & Brandi.  She also says that she feels as though they are “bullying” her.  And then she says the word I’ve been dreading hearing – alcoholic.  I honestly wasn’t sure if she was talking about D’Andra or Brandi, but you cannot just throw the word alcoholic around freely like that, like there are no consequences.  That’s a huge accusation, and a very untrue one at that.  Like Cary says, “Those are big words.”   I’m not here for this.

The scene between Mark & Cary was really cute. I feel like we’ve seen a change in their relationship, a very positive one.  Cary tells him how her cousin Camilla from Copenhagen is a musician and she invited Cary to go see her perform.  Cary wants to go so she can reconnect with her family, and she also hopes it will help her relationship with her father.  The day of the performance is a day that Mark is operating, so he can’t go, but he still thinks Cary should, and also thinks it’s a good idea to bring the girls with her.  Cary & Mark FaceTime with Cary’s parents, who are super excited she’s going.  Her dad tears up, as does Cary.  It’s a really nice moment and I’m happy for her.  I’m also excited for this Girls Trip!

Can I just say that I love Steph & Travis? I love that we open the scene with the two of them, and you just hear Steph say, “I think we should just get drunk and sloppy.”  LOL love her.  They’re talking about their vow renewal, which is happening before Travis goes to Harvard for the month.  I love when Travis tells Steph it’s important to him because it’s important to her and makes her happy.  Men everywhere, please take note!  Steph also voices to Travis her worries about being alone.  She expresses that because she struggles with anxiety and depression and has been on and off medication, she’s worried that being alone will be too much for her.  I love how sweet and reassuring Travis is.  I totally feel for Steph, too.  I understand that feeling of struggling with anxiety and depression, and dealing with medication.  It can be a lot.  I know Steph will be fine, she’s stronger than she realizes.  ❤

Now we’re at Mama Dee’s BFF, Marian’s, house, over in Cedar Creek Lake. It’s time for Cooking Lessons!  D’Andra and Jeremy show up first, and we learn that D loves to cook.  D’Andra also shares with Marian what’s going on between herself and LeeAnne, and I love when Mama Dee chimes in.  “Marian, remember when we used to fight all the time?”  and Marian responds, “What do you mean used to?” LMAO.  It gives D’Andra hope that her and LeeAnne can overcome the struggles of their friendship since Mama Dee and Marian have.

Rich and LeeAnne are the first to arrive, and I definitely feel the tension between them. Mama Dee gives D’Andra an apron that says Queen Bee, and apparently D’Andra thinks this is Mama Dee’s way of telling LeeAnne to stop messing with her daughter.  (Ronnie & Ben from Watch What Crappens Podcast thought this too!  I seriously didn’t think that at all LOL.)  LeeAnne tells D, “You can finally be a Queen.”

Kameron, Court, and Kam’s MIL, Jimmy, arrive. Jimmy is an “Icon of Dallas Society.”  Jesus Christ I am rolling my eyes so far into the back of my head right now.  We jump right into cooking, and I’m LOLing at Kameron saying that the meat loaf looks like dog food, and at D’Andra saying she argues with Mama Dee about how much ketchup should be used.

Once the food is in the oven (or on the stove, whatever), D’Andra, Kameron and LeeAnne are just hanging around the kitchen, and D tells us that “there’s an elephant in the room.” Kam asks how Cary’s event was – and D’Andra brings up LeeAnne saying she has a drinking problem.  LeeAnne says that she did not say that, and she can keep on saying it until the cows come home, but that’s not what she said.  D’Andra wants to know what she did say, then, and LeeAnne said she’s just concerned that Brandi only wants to hang out to get drunk together, and that she doesn’t see D’Andra’s other good qualities, or some BS like that.  Kameron agrees, saying that it’s totally okay to go to charity events and have a few drinks, but you have to know your limit – apparently Brandi was “swaying” at the No Tie Event.  D’Andra says she doesn’t visually recall Brandi swaying, and LeeAnne insists that she was.  (I mean, who gives a fuck though?  You guys all drink and get drunk at charity events, why are we picking on Brandi?)  Mama Dee puts an end to this real quick and calls LeeAnne over to chat with her.

Jeremy and Rich are outside talking, and I like that the men can get along, even when their wives/girlfriends can’t. They both made me laugh in this scene.  I know people are speculating about Rich, but I genuinely like him.  I think he’s good for LeeAnne.  I certainly don’t think he’s cheating either.

During Mama Dee and LeeAnne’s chat, it seems like everything is going okay. Mama Dee wants LeeAnne and D’Andra to put aside their differences and make up. I hear that.  In a confessional, though, LeeAnne tells us that “blood is thicker than water”, so at the end of the day she knows Mama Dee is on her daughters side.

D’Andra, Kameron and Jimmy are chatting at the table, just the three of them, and I am highly annoyed by this scene. Kameron is telling D’Andra she needs to be cautious of who she hangs out with. (I’m assuming she is referring to Brandi?)  I love that D’Andra says she’s almost 50 years old, and she doesn’t have to worry about what people think about her; she’s not in her 30’s like Kameron, with little kids.  Jimmy keeps on at it though – she tells D’Andra that Kameron has a friend, and Kameron knows who she’s talking about, that she tells Kam she shouldn’t be friends with because of her behavior, and people are going to associate Kameron with her and believe that that’s how she acts.  Okay – I thought Jimmy was referring to Brandi in this scene, but I honestly had no idea.  I think D’Andra took it like Jimmy was referring to her.  And Kameron is just sitting there nodding and agreeing with Jimmy, and I’m enraged at this entire encounter.  First of all – the who fuck is Jimmy Westcott?  I’m sorry, I don’t care if you’re some “Icon” of Dallas Society – no one in the real world knows you, or cares what you think!  Why are we worried about what this woman thinks?  For Gods sakes, she’s wearing neon green nail polish.  I’m so over this.

I needed a break from that house, so I’m happy we’re with Brandi and Travis right now, at the jewelry store. Brandi is helping Travis pick out Steph a ring for the vow renewal.  I’m even more excited Baby Bruin is here (I just love him – he’s the cutest!)

Back at Cedar Creek Lake, we’re all eating outside. Mama Dee gives a toast, and it’s seriously everything.  She’s a smart woman, we could all learn a thing or two from Mama Dee. (Can we give her a spin off?  I know I’ve been hard on Mama Dee in the past, but it was only when she wasn’t being very nice to D’Andra!  But I love her – and no matter what, she clearly has her daughters back.)  LeeAnne tells us that this toast makes her feel sad, and she feels like D’Andra should know that she’s clearly trying to fix the relationship because she’s there, at the cooking lesson.  She wants to D’Andra to say something, but I’m so confused- what do you want her to say?  She did say something, and you shot her down so fast.  There’s no resolution here.

Now we’re at The Green Room Bar and Grill, for an unveiling of a mural that was replicated of a photograph that Jeremy has taken. D’Andra is pissed at Kameron for coming for her at Cedar Creek Lake.  She says she would never speak badly to Jimmy, because she’s her elder, but she thinks it’s bullshit Kam brought Jimmy to fight her battles for her.  Everyone arrives, but we have no LeeAnne or Rich.  D’Andra tells us that she did invite LeeAnne, because she, too, felt sentimental during her mother’s toast.  Rich does show up, but he tells D’Andra that LeeAnne was going to try to make it, but she was at a Fashion Show.  Like really?

D’Andra and Kameron talk, and D tells K how she feels. She says she’s upset, her feelings are hurt, and she felt attacked.  Kameron literally loses her shit and I’m so confused how we went from 0 to 100 so quickly.  Like why can’t D tell you her feelings are hurt without you being a bitch about it?  Kameron is “disgusted” that D’Andra would feel like Jimmy attacked her.  She says that Jimmy is not someone you want to cross and, I swear, I literally said at the same time as D’Andra, “Is that a threat?”  Kameron is now offended that D’Andra is offended, and this is just a bunch of bullshit.  Cary chimes in, and she tells D’Andra that Kameron is just trying to be honest with her.  D’Andra shoots back that, “It’s none of her damn business.” And I’m like YESSSS, PREACH GIRL!  Kameron is literally so extra, she leaves.  Cary follows her, and K tells Cary, “She’s done.”  She goes on to say that everyone is talking shit about D’Andra and she’s just trying to help her but she’s being a crazy bitch.  No, Kam, I think that’s you.  Kameron leaves super dramatically, and I’m honestly just like, good fucking riddance.  D’Andra tells Mama Dee what happened, and Mama Dee tells her that she shouldn’t care what anyone else thinks.  I agree Mama Dee!

The mural is unveiled, and it’s beautiful.  It is a really nice moment and I’m glad that D’Andra is surrounded by her true friends and family.

Each episode seems to be getting crazier and crazier. Each preview for the following week looks more insane than the last. It looks like shit about to go down next week….we’ll have to wait and see.

Until next week…..

RHOD: BABES IN BRANDILAND

Things are heating up in Dallas and I am not even the least bit surprised. After watching last weeks episode, I thought that the preview for this weeks episode looked intense, and I wasn’t wrong. Before I get into the recap, I have to say, Dallas really is so interesting on so many levels. We have some real, genuine friendships on this franchise, and you don’t always see that on the housewives. (I mean, look at OC. I love Gina & Emily as new additions, but none of the friendships seem genuine anymore. Heather Dubrow left, and the OC began to sink like The Titanic.) The dynamic of the friendships of the ladies is so interesting to me as well. Nothing is cut & dry or black & white. The friendships intertwine with each other, and they end up getting very tangled. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes….

Ok, on to the recap!

We start off with Brandi going over to Stephanie’s house. Steph is planning a spa day so all the ladies can just chill after all of the emotional drama that was unleashed during Smashing Friendships. Steph is the perfect person to host a Spa Day – because her bathroom is literally a spa. I mean, I died. The fireplace, the beautiful couch with those gorgeous, fluffy throw pillows, that hot tub, complete with jets and a waterfall – I am literally dead. Oh I’m sorry, I forgot to mention the Steam Room, and the super futuristic toilet! So beyond, I am in love. Anyway, Steph wants this Spa Day to be perfect, so she and Brandi, as well as Steph’s assistant, Trey, are going to be auditioning male models for the part. This whole scene had me cracking up – I love Steph & Brandi’s friendship so much. They’re always a blast together and have so much fun. The guy who auditioned who had the baby Kangaroo with him – OMG! How cute was she!? LOL too funny. Steph’s reaction to the kangaroo was everything. The girls end up hiring everyone because they were all cute and nice. Love them!

LeeAnne is about to do a photo/video shoot for her new dress, which can be worn 175 ways. (Impressive!) She meets her stylist, Jeanette, and she’s getting her makeup done, when Kam comes in to meet her. LeeAnne wants to talk about the “Smash Party from Hell” and Kameron happily goes along. Hearing LeeAnne say that she thought D’Andra “going off” was a performance was hurtful. I didn’t expect that from her. D’Andra wasn’t acting, she was hurt. I do believe LeeAnne, however, when she said that she told Cary because she and Cary were working on a friendship, and D’Andra and Cary are already friends. I truly don’t think that there was any malicious intent in what was said. I find it interesting that Kameron believes Cary will take sides. Apparently she’s been holding a grudge since Beaver Creek, because she feels like Cary had her back one minute, and then switched to Stephanie’s side the next. I don’t think Cary was on any side, she was just being honest and calling it like she saw it. They talk about Brandi’s upcoming Trunk Show, and Kameron says she doesn’t want to go. LeeAnne convinces her that she should, which I liked.

We’re at the Brandiland Pop up Event! I’m so proud of Brandi. She created a clothing line that is lounge/resort wear, and everything is so cute. The girls begin to arrive. Cary and D’Andra arrive together, and I’m LOLing as Cary labels her purse a “she” and puts a raincoat on her. I mean, hey, if I owned a Birkin, I would put a raincoat on her, too. Have you ever seen the price of a Birkin!?

LeeAnne is being super shady in regards to Brandiland & she needs to cut it out. Let’s support each other!! The girls are all mingling, and Kameron decides that now would definitely be the best time to pull Cary aside to talk. You couldn’t have gone for coffee to do this? It’s Brandi’s day! Kam explains to Cary that she was hurt in Beaver Creek because she feels like she played both sides between herself and Stephanie. Cary responds, and Kam gets mad because Cary “pointed her finger” at her. Literally in the next breath Kam points a finger at Cary while trying to get her point across and I’m just like – ugh. This is why Cary said arguing with Kameron was exhausting. Cary tries to call Steph into the convo and Kam loses it and stomps away. Poor Steph is like WTF is going on? This was so unnecessary. How can you play both sides if you’re friends with both parties? It doesn’t make sense.

D’Andra and LeeAnne end up talking, but I’m not mad about this. One, because I desperately want them to make up, and two because this happened very naturally and wasn’t planned. D’Andra tells LeeAnne how she felt, and LeeAnne feels horrible. This is extremely confusing to me because of what’s happening in the confessionals and in present day, on twitter. We just heard LeeAnne tell Kam that she thought D’Andra was faking her reaction to the entire situation. They seem to make up, and then we cut to another confessional of D’Andra saying LeeAnne had “crocodile tears.” Okay, I’m clearly missing something here? Why aren’t they being honest with each other? Or did more happen that we, the viewers, don’t know about?

Kam and Cary start talking again, and Cary apologizes, but Kam just can’t let it go. Kam literally brings up Mexico (I’m dead) and how she felt like Cary didn’t have her back with the dildo thing, so Cary tells her that while they were in Beaver Creek Brandi & Steph were going to give her “stressticles” but Cary convinced them not to. This is sufficient enough evidence for Kam to believe Cary has her back, and they’re all good. They randomly bring this up to Brandi, and it’s obvious she’s pissed, and we will soon find out why.

Steph and LeeAnne are having their own private convo, and I truly love how Stephanie is giving LeeAnne a chance and wants to have a friendship with her. I feel like Steph is definitely coming into her own more, and she seems more confident and independent. She’s such a sweetheart. LeeAnne tells Steph she wants to get to know her better, and that Kameron does too. LeeAnne is going to plan a lunch for the three of them.

Everyone heads out, and it’s just Steph and Brandi. Steph instantly knows something is up with B, and she eventually tells us that she’s really upset about Cary telling Kameron that she convinced them not to give Kam the “stressticles” because it’s not true, she decided not to do it on her own. Brandi isn’t over the fact that Kameron thinks she’s a bad influence, and this is bothering her. She starts to cry, and Steph comforts her. Clearly this goes deeper than just Kameron & Cary, and Steph can see that, too. Steph and Brandi sit down and Steph tells her that she’s worried about her. Steph can read Brandi like a book – she was so spot on in regards to how Brandi was feeling. Brandi is seriously Super Mom and doesn’t like to ask for help because she sees it as a sign of failure. So not true! It’s impossible to do everything and be the best at it. It’s okay to ask for help. I got emotional just watching this scene, and I’m so glad that Brandi had Steph in that moment. Everyone needs a Stephanie Hollman type of friend in their life.

It’s Spa Day! Kameron and D’Andra are absent, so it just leaves the four other girls. They split into groups of two, so Steph decides she will get a massage with LeeAnne so Brandi and Cary can pair up and get mani’s and talk it out. Brandi does confront Cary – she says she felt like Cary was trying to make her look bad in front of Kameron. Cary apologizes and tells her that was not her intention. She also agrees with Brandi that it was her own decision not to give Kam the Stressticles, but that Cary also gave her two cents on it as well. She explains that she felt like she needed to defend herself to Kam, because Kam felt like she didn’t have her back. (Do you see what I’m saying about the intertwining friendships now?)

We go back and forth between LeeAnne & Stephanie, and Cary and Brandi. LeeAnne asks Steph what was going on between Kam, Brandi and Cary, and Steph briefly fills her in. LeeAnne doesn’t think Cary is “mutual.” In the other room, Brandi is telling Cary she doesn’t want Kameron to think she’s a bad influence, but she also feels like Kameron has different standards for certain people, which I definitely agree with. Meanwhile, LeeAnne is telling Steph that she thinks Brandi and Kameron need to talk. LeeAnne admits that Kameron accepts her, and she owns that she doesn’t have perfect etiquette. LeeAnne also thinks that Brandi judges Kameron, and not the other way around. Not sure how I feel about that. At the same time, Brandi tells Cary she doesn’t think Kameron has a voice of her own, and that she thinks LeeAnne is in her ear.

Yikes. Are you keeping up? I feel like I’m going on circles!!

Over at Kameron’s house, she’s taking to Court about the Global Pet Expo and Sparkle Dog, and I’m just so annoyed. Why is Court soooo unsupportive? It’s infuriating! I feel like he shoots down everything Kameron says and it’s frustrating to watch. Why don’t you want your wife to live her best life? I don’t get it.

What an episode! I will say that we totally did not have enough of D’Andra this time around, which I did not like. Next week looks interesting…..I’m trying to learn not to comment before the episode actually airs, because the producers typically throw me all off and I’m wrong in my assumptions. So my lips are sealed.

See you next week!

RHOD: BUBBLES AND BROODING

Hi ya’ll! So excited to talk about RHOD this week.

So, we pick back up where we left off – with Rich & LeeAnne being put on the spot about getting married.  I love that the producers totally made us think that this was going to be a thing – it so wasn’t.  It’s fair to say I was probably totally off base when I hypothesized that this was the beginning of D’Andra and LeeAnne’s “friendship break”.  (I will not say that they are no longer friends,  because I don’t know that for a fact, and I feel like they are too good of friends to not be friends any longer.  LOL.)

STEPH & LEEANNE GET VERY REAL

Steph and Leeanne

I know I touched on this last week, but this week Stephanie and LeeAnne open up to each other about depression and suicide.  It was so emotional to watch – one because my heart broke for both of them, two because they are so brave for bringing this subject up, and three because I totally understand where they are both coming from.  Thank you both for sharing your stories – you’re both amazing.  There is still such a stigma in this country surrounding mental illness/suicide/depression/anxiety – and it needs to end.  Thank you for talking about something that matters, and could potentially help someone else who is feeling that way.  Sometimes, it’s okay to not be okay.  And it’s more than okay to ask for help.  Also, I really liked LeeAnne’s advice – that if you’re feeling down, help someone else.  (Karen Kilgariff from the podcast My Favorite Murder said this recently, too.)  It’s such good advice.  Do something nice for someone.  It will make you feel better.  It makes sense why LeeAnne is involved with so many charities.  Love you ladies!!

BRANDI CRASHES THE PARTY

B and D 2

I’m only kidding!  I mean this in the best way possible.  I was pleasantly surprised when Brandi showed up at D’Andra’s.  At first, I was nervous that she was going to try to hash out the issue with D’Andra right then and there, which totally would not have been the place.  But Brandi didn’t do that – she told D’Andra that despite whatever issues they were having, she wanted to put it aside and celebrate her, because it was her night.  (Yay be friends now!!)  We know that Brandi eventually wants to address the Adderall thing, but not tonight.  I think Brandi did the right thing.

SAVE THE DRAMA FOR YOUR MAMA

DeeeeeD

Ugh – watching D’Andra and Dee at the office was seriously hard to watch.  I hate talking negatively about Dee, because she is D’Andra’s Mother, and I would not be okay with anyone ever talking about my Mother, but Dee is mean.  Plain & simple.  She undermines D’Andra at every single chance she gets.  She gives her no freedom to make a choice – it’s her way or no way.  It’s not fair.  And whenever she said that Mothers and Daughters can be jealous of one other, especially if they’re good looking – ummmm wait, what???? Absolutely not.  Honestly, I thought she meant that she jealous of D’Andra at first, and then I realized that she meant D’Andra was jealous of her.  Does she not know hurtful that sounds?  There is nothing to be jealous of.  D’Andra is absolutely gorgeous, she’s intelligent, she’s kind, caring, compassionate – she’s an amazing woman who is doing great things – why can’t Dee be happy for her?  There must be a deeper rooted issue with Dee inside of herself, honestly.  Because it’s not D’Andra.  At all. I truly hope that Dee can put aside her own pride, admit she’s wrong, and make an effort at having an actual relationship with D’Andra.  Life is just too short.

LeeAnne designed a dress (named L’Infinity by LeeAnne Locken) and I am beyond proud of her.  The reason behind the name is because it literally can be worn a million different ways.  It’s super cute, and a cool concept that I never would’ve even thought could be possible.  YAY LeeAnne!

This is the cutest party EVER!  Also, Steph is such an amazing friend.  Steph throws Brandi a Baby Shower, essentially, called Bubbles and Bruin.  No one knows that Brandi has adopted a baby boy yet, and this is her night to surprise them all.  Can I just say that I wanted to kill Kameron when she first arrived?  First, she’s rude in the confessional about Stephanie not being at the door to greet her.  (Eye roll.  So needy.)  Then, when she does see her, she just starts guessing about the party and the meaning behind it, and gets it right.  Luckily, Steph cleverly concocts a story about having a surrogate (lmao, best friend ever), and Kam falls for it. Even still – say it was true, that Steph really did have a surrogate.  Kameron, don’t you think there is a reason you don’t know anything yet?  Just be quiet.  I love that Steph gets Travis and Cary to go along with it.  (Cary wouldn’t have had to do anything, if Kameron didn’t question her gift that had a blue bow on it.)  Clearly, there is a reason it hasn’t been publicly announced yet, so just keep whatever you think to yourself before you blurt it out. The party is successful, and Brandi does surprise her guests.  I would’ve said everyone was over the moon for her, except next week, it looks like Kameron has an issue….which, I can’t even go there right now.  I didn’t read Kameron’s blog, but I caught a quick glimpse where she says that she’s “excited and angry” because she feels betrayed by Stephanie and Brandi. Are you kidding?  This is a very happy moment, and a happy time, in Brandi’s life.  This is NOT about you, Kameron.  I won’t comment any more on that until next weeks episode.

Until next week….
