RHOP: OPENING OLD WOUNDS

I’m not going to lie – after that cliff hanger they left us with last week, where the showed us some unseen footage of what was going on with Michael at Monique’s Rainbow Party, I was mildly disappointed we didn’t address that again.  I was hoping we’d come back to it, but I guess not.  After all, the charges have been dismissed.  And they probably don’t have much more than they showed us, anyway.  Ugh, annoying.  Anyway.

img_9906

We start off all around Potomac as usual – Monique is at her home with her kids, Karen and Ray are playing tennis, and as usual, Gizelle is driving.  Gizelle calls Ashley because she feels bad about some of the stuff she said at Juan’s birthday.  She wants Ashley to know she does have her back, so she invites Ashley over to her new house, and informs her Robyn will be joining them as well.  Ashley appreciates the olive branch Gizelle is extending and accepts her invite.

img_9907

Meanwhile, Candiace and Chris are house-hunting.  Yes, I think it’s great that Candiace is ready to move and have her own space with Chris.  However – can they afford a $2.5 million dollar home? This seems outrageous and ridiculous.  Candiace does come to her senses a little bit when she sits down and talks with Chris.  Chris doesn’t want to have to struggle, and she seems to understand that.  It’s just hard for me to relate to Candiace during scenes like this, because she is so clearly used to getting whatever she wants.  Does she have any idea what the mortgage would be on a $2.5 million dollar home? I’m guessing no.

img_9908

Ashley arrives first to Gizelle’s new home, and brings her a gift, which I thought was sweet.  Robyn arrives, and Gizelle gives the girls a tour of the house.  It’s honestly not in as bad of a condition that I assumed it would be in.

img_9909

img_9912

After touring the inside of the home, Gizelle gives them a tour of the backyard, to give them an idea of how much property there actually is.  Robyn pops champagne, and they all toast to Gizelle.  They do bring up Michael – Ashley admits that she felt like Gizelle was coming off “shady” in the way she spoke about the entire situation.  Gizelle surprisingly agrees with this.  She then brings up what Katie told them – how Jacob felt like Michael was flirting with him, and Katie straight up called Ashley stupid.  Ashley is surprised and upset by this – she says that Katie always smiles to her face, but clearly feels a different way.  Ashley goes on to say, “Candiace said everyone was laughing about the situation behind my back.”  Robyn clarifies, “Laughing is not the word.”  She admits that they talked about the situation, it was brought up, they had questions – but they were not laughing about it. Ashley brings up how she was with Monique, and Monique showed her texts between her and  Candiace – and Candiace was poking fun at her.  Gizelle and Robyn think it’s complete bullshit that Monique would do that to Candiace, since they’re friends.  Ashley also fills in Gizelle that Monique feels like Gizelle doesn’t really care about her.  This enrages Gizelle, who tells Ashley to watch out for Monique.  (This is all really over dramatic.)

img_9914

Over at Karen’s, she’s having a family dinner.  Both of her children are there, and it’s just a nice, normal scene.  I like seeing Karen with her family, you can tell that when she’s her best self, and really in her element.

img_9915

Ashley and Michael are going on a date.  Ashley tells us she feels a lot better since the case has been dismissed.  Michael still isn’t happy about the things Gizelle and Robyn were saying, but they decide to just move on and not dwell about it.  Ashley brings up her dad – she wants to go to Georgia, and her mom would go with her.  Michael doesn’t think it’s a good idea.  Ashley gets where he is coming from, but she feels like it’s something he has to do, and Michael is supportive.

img_9916

Back over at Ashley’s the next morning, Ashley is doing yoga and trying to clear her mind.  She is talking a lot about her dad, and honestly, this is a really sad situation.  She calls her Aunt Sheila, who is her dad’s sister. Aunt Sheila and Sheila’s husband, Jim, are the only people on her father’s side who she has kept in contact with.  Aunt Sheila is very sweet. She doesn’t know if it’s a good idea for Ashley to try and see her father either – she tells Ashley that she hasn’t seen him herself since 2011.  (Something is clearly wrong with that man.)  Sheila would be happy to see Ashley, though, and she is also being very supportive in what Ashley wants to do.  She’s willing to go with her, and Ashley is happy and excited.

img_9917

Over at Monique’s, Monique plays a prank on Chris and pretends her water broke.  I truly love Monique and Chris, but this was unnecessary.  Maybe I’m too uptight, but seeing that Monique had a miscarriage, I didn’t think it was funny.  Chris panics and calls 911, and Monique is like “Shit.”  They both laugh it off, and Monique talks about how they need a plan, and she’s going to start packing her bag for the hospital.

img_9919

Katie is hosting an event – Mary’s Center Gala.  Candiace brings Dorothy, because she’s in town. (I’m so confused – you’re telling me Dorothy doesn’t live in Potomac? Why is she always here?) Gizelle arrives, and the three of them are chatting.  After witnessing Dorothy and Candiace interact, Gizelle feels like Candiace is actually making progress with therapy, and Dorothy isn’t at all.  She comments on how Dorothy is still constantly throwing shade at her daughter, but she’s noticed that Candiace is not as reactive as she normally is.

img_9922

Robyn arrives, and the girls are all talking.  No one has any idea what this charity event is for.  Not even Katie, the one who is throwing it.  Katie also mentions that she forgot to Ashley.  (Katie is literally in space.)  They bring up what Michael said to Jacob – the whole thing is just weird.  Robyn asks if Jacob felt like Michael was flirting with him or if he was just joking around, and Jacob says he doesn’t know.

img_9924

They’re all just gossiping at this point, and somehow it comes up that Katie says Ashley told her she sold her portion of the restaurant.  The girls are all shocked by this.  Candiace is carrying a bag, and she reveals it was actually a gift for Monique, but Monique didn’t end up coming because she’s so pregnant and uncomfortable.  Gizelle uses this opportunity to tell Candiace what Ashley told her – Monique showed Ashley their text messages.  “She threw you under the bus,” Gizelle tells Candiace.  Candiace doesn’t even want to believe it, because she feels betrayed.  Gizelle is totally being an instigator right now.  Candiace takes the high road, and just says that she will talk to Monique.  I feel like Gizelle is pissed off at Monique because of what Ashley told her, so now shoe doesn’t want anyone to like Monique.  Can ya’ll just leave her alone? She’s about to give birth.

img_9927

Ashley and her mom head to Georgia. They meet up with Aunt Sheila and Uncle Jim.  Ashley is terrified of being rejected by her dad, but not scared enough to not go.  She feels hopeful.  Jim is honest with Ashley and tells her he has mixed feelings about her going to see her father, but he is just as supportive as Sheila is.  Ashley basically just wants acknowledgment from her father.  It’s sad.  After grabbing a bite to eat, they head over to Ashley’s dad’s house.  We watch Sheila and Ashley walk up together – and then we are hit with a To Be Continued.

What will happen between Ashley and her dad? I hope that he does open the door.  And I hope that he is kind to her.  I can’t imagine going through what Ashley is going through.  It’s all really sad, and it clearly played a major role in her life, hence her relationship with Michael.  We also see Gizelle confront Monique next week, so we’ll see what happens with that.

Until next week….

RHOP: SHOWDOWN AT THE HOEDOWN

All housewife franchises – take note! These are the kind of episodes Bravo fans live for.  So insane, let’s just jump right in.

We start out with Gizelle and Robyn – they’re shopping for stuff for Gizelle’s kitchen. We learn that Gizelle’s offer was accepted on the home she wanted to renovate, and she wants to take her time decorating and getting it all together because she sees this house as her “forever home.”

Robyn and Gizelle sit down, and Robyn tells Gizelle that she met up with Katie and Katie is planning to invite all of the girls over to her house (her farm) for a Hoedown. They bring up Ashley, because she’ll obviously be there.  Robyn tells Gizelle that she doesn’t really get why she had to apologize to Ashley.  “You brought it up,” Robyn tells her.  Gizelle is annoyed, and asks, “Are you trying to put this on me?” Robyn replies, “I’m not trying to put this on you, but I don’t get why I’m the only one she’s upset with.”  (I totally agree with Robyn, for the record.)  Gizelle disagrees. “That’s what we’re not doing,” she says. “We’re not bringing Gizelle into PenisGate.”  Gizelle goes on to say, “I wasn’t there, I didn’t hear it.  I have enough to deal with.”  Robyn calmly responds, “We all have enough to deal with.  No one’s mad at you.  She (meaning Ashley) thinks I should’ve pulled her to the side, but I’m not the one who instigated it.”  I mean, Robyn is not wrong.  Gizelle is the one who brought this up.  “You brought it up,” Robyn tells her.

Gizelle finally sees what Robyn is saying.  “Okay, fine.  I brought it up.” Robyn asks her, “Do you think we should’ve pulled her to the side?”  Gizelle admits, “Okay fine, I own it. This is partly my fault.  But only like 4%.”  LMFAO.  Gizelle admits she was also in the wrong, and along with Robyn, she plans to apologize to Ashley.

Candiace visits Chris at his restaurant. She tells him she came to see him for “another date night”, and I’m dying when Chris is like, “That’s okay.  I don’t need to spend 24 hours with you.”  LMAO.  Candiace beings to fill in Chris on how therapy went with her Mom.  Chris laughs – and then he apologizes for laughing – but he can’t help it because he feels like the way Dorothy treated Candiace in therapy is how Candiace treats him when they argue.  This annoys Candiace.  “I do not diminish the way that you feel,” she snaps.  “You don’t,” Chris agrees, “But the argument is similar.”  Candiace is pissed – she gets up and storms out of the restaurant.  She gets in her car, and Chris follows her, standing in between the car door.

“You need to be able to see the other side,” Chris tells her. Candiace isn’t listening to him.  “The dynamic is not the same,” she repeats.  Honestly, how does Candiace not see that what she’s doing to Chris right now is exactly what her mother does to her?  Chris is not wrong.  Candiace is being a total brat.  The behavior she’s exhibiting right now is identical to Dorothy’s behavior.  Chris continues to try to reason with her.  “When you get emotional like this you shut down and you don’t want to deal with anything.”  “That’s my fucking right!” Candiace yells at him.  At this point, Candiace clearly can’t be reasoned with, but Chris isn’t done trying.  He brings up the situation with Ashley and Candiace loses it.  “I want you to shut the fuck up and leave.  Move.”  Chris won’t budge.  “I’m trying to help you!” He says exasperatedly.  Candiace is acting like a spoiled brat.  She won’t listen, and she drives off, leaving her argument with Chris unresolved.

Meanwhile, Karen and Ray are going for a motorcycle ride. LMAO, I love Karen.  She hasn’t driven a motorcycle in years. She feels renewed since going to the salt cave, so this is something she really wanted to do.  With an instructor’s help, Karen literally rides around the parking lot on a motorcycle.  She tells us she feels liberated.

Monique is shopping for baby clothes, and Ashley meets up with her. (Side note: Monique is literally the cutest pregger EVER.) Ashley fills her in on her performance at Virginia Gay Pride, and Monique apologizes for not being there.  “You had your people there with you, though,” she remarks.  And then she asks, “Is Robyn still your people?”  Ashley tells Monique she’s not happy with Robyn.  She brings up the brief conversation that she had with her, and how Robyn tried to blame Gizelle because she instigated it.  “We all know Gizelle is an instigator,” Ashely says.  Monique thought that the whole thing was “too much.”  Ashley thinks that Robyn should’ve not said anything at dinner, even when being put on the spot by Gizelle.  In her confessional, Monique tells us, “How you gonna get mad at Robyn?  You know Robyn ain’t the brain, she’s Pinky!” They also briefly discuss Candiace’s behavior at dinner, and Monique admits she didn’t appreciate the way she acted.  She tells us that she can’t figure out why Candiace is gunning for Ashley.

Two Days Later:

Oh, the dramatics! They even give us the exact date: 9/27/18.  News breaks about Michael – he’s being charged for “groping/grabbing” a cameraman’s butt, and could face up to 3-11 years in jail if he’s found guilty.  The word is quickly spreading all around Potomac.  Gizelle texts Robyn – it’s a link about Michael being charged with sexual assault.  Candiace FaceTimes Monique – “Have you heard the news?” Monique tells her it’s everywhere, she even heard it on the radio.  We see a clip of Wendy Williams covering the story, and she basically accuses Ashley of knowing Michael did it. I’m not surprised by these allegations – but I am surprised when Monique tells Candiace that this incident supposedly happened the day of the Rainbow Party.  Ummmm, what!?

Meanwhile, Ashley is out with Katie, and they’re shopping for the hoedown. Ashley is completely in the dark that this news broke.  Gizelle calls her to check in.  She quickly realizes Ashley doesn’t know what’s going on, so she tells her.  Ashley acts extremely nonchalant about the entire situation, and she says that she knows all about it – it’s not true, but she can’t really talk about it.  I think we can all agree with Gizelle when she’s like, “What’s really going on here?”

We’re at Monique’s, and Candiace comes over. Monique is putting together her bassinet, because the doctors told her that the baby could come sooner than expected.  The girls start chatting, and the crazy dinner party gets brought up.  “You went from zero to outer space,” Monique tells Candiace.  Candiace says she was angry.  She feels like Ashley took what she shared with the group (about her mom) and used it against her.  “You allowed her to get under your skin,” Monique says.  “Even Chris couldn’t calm you down.”  Monique is trying to be real with Candiace.  She tells her she felt like she wasn’t acting like grown woman, she was throwing a temper tantrum.  Candiace isn’t happy about this.  She feels like she’s being judged by a friend who’s exhibited “hood” behavior.  (Really Candiace?)  Candiace tells Monique, “I don’t want this stuff with my mom to spill over into my relationship.”  Monique replies, “It’s definitely spilling over into your friendships.”  She goes on to tell her, “You could’ve had a little bit more self control.”  Monique is honestly just trying to be a good friend to Candiace – sometimes friends tell you shit you don’t want to hear, but it’s the truth.  Instead of listening to Monique, Candiace is just getting annoyed.  She’s not seeing that she’s coming from a good place.

It’s the day of the hoedown. Robyn is first to arrive.  Ashley and Gizelle are riding together.  Gizelle apologizes to Ashley for her part in bringing up “Penis Gate”, and Ashley forgives her.  Karen and Monique are riding together, and they’re discussing the recent allegations against Michael.  “Consent is everything,” Karen says.  (I’m dying.)  Gizelle briefly brings up the situation to Ashley, and Ashley says that she cannot talk about it.  Gizelle drops it.

All of the ladies are arriving. When Gizelle and Ashley arrive, Ashley jumps out of the car, super excited to see everyone.  She’s bubbly and hyper, and Robyn finds it strange.  “She’s going to pretend like nothing happened,” she tells us in her confessional.  Robyn pulls Ashley aside to apologize, and Ashley quickly forgives her.  For now, everyone is totally fine.

The girls play games – corn hole, tug of war, beer pong, and they’re all having fun. Before they sit down to eat, Katie gives a super weird toast.  The girls all sit down at the table, and Candiace apologizes to everyone for her outburst at dinner.  “I appreciate the apology,” Gizelle says, “but it needs to go to that side of the table.”  Gizelle references where Ashley is sitting.  “That’s a conversation that needs to happen separately,” Candiace says. Then she adds, “But I was also told by you that Ashley never wants to speak to me again.”  Gizelle agrees – Ashley did say that. Candiace goes on to say that if Ashley is open to speaking with her, they can have a conversation.  “Thank you, I appreciate that,” Ashley says.  She doesn’t add whether or not she wants to have a conversation with Candiace.

Ashley then goes on to bring up Michael – she addresses it as the “elephant in the room”, but tells the girls she can’t discuss it. “You can’t say anything?” Robyn asks.  Ashley says no.  In her confessional, Robyn says that Ashley has been very messy in the past when it came to everyone else’s business. (Thank you to the shady producers for those throwbacks of how messy Ashley was.  I told you – KARMA.)

Karen tells Ashley, “ I hope that it turns out positive for you.” LMFAO at Gizelle – she has to stir the pot.  “Karen, you were high-fivin’ Robyn at Candiace’s house.”  This irritates Ashley, who looks at Karen and says, “Karen, just remember, you have a few skeletons in your closet.”  Karen owns that she did high five Robyn, but says that Gizelle needs to be held accountable for bringing Ashley back in the house after Candiace had already kicked her out.  “What kind of friend are you?” Karen asks.  Monique tells us that she thinks they’re all wrong, and Katie wants them to just “squash it.”  Robyn calls out Candiace for coming for Ashley.  Candiace tells Ashley, “I want to be friends. I have no vendetta against you, Ashley.” Gizelle is like, “Well, you said her marriage sounds fishy.”  “That’s my opinion!” Candiace exclaims.

(Candiace, why aren’t you getting this? Yes, you have an opinion, and you’re entitled to it.  But don’t say you don’t have a vendetta against Ashley and you want to be her friend when you’re saying all of this negative shit.  It doesn’t make sense.) Gizelle says that it’s judgment, not an opinion, and Monique and Robyn agree.  “I don’t care what Monique says, I don’t care what Robyn says!” Candiace tells us.  Monique is calling her out, and Candiace is pissed.  “You’re all hypocrites!”

The girls are all arguing at this point, and Katie interjects with another toast – “To fake bitches and ass grabbing!” LMFAO, that literally shuts up the entire table. Everyone disperses.  Karen approaches Ashley and asks, “Are you okay, Miss Ash?”  “I’m always gonna be alright, Karen, but thanks for asking,” Ashley snaps.  “Is there an attitude there?” Karen asks her. “Yeah, because I also overheard you saying stuff, too,” Ashley tells her.  She goes on to say that Karen is nice to Ashley’s face, but talks shit behind her back.  “You should be used to that,” Karen says. “That’s what you do to everybody.”  Ashley says that she doesn’t do that to Karen – if she has an issue with her, she tells her to her face.  “Karma is a bitch, honey!” LMFAO Karen is not playing.  Ashley makes a comment about Ray’s old lawsuit, and Karen is not having it.  I’m dying when she makes some comment about Michael being careful with the soap, referencing him going to jail.  LMFAO.  I can’t you guys.  You can’t even make this shit up.

Candiace pulls Karen aside, and someone apologizes to Katie. Monique joins Candiace and Karen.  Candiace told Karen she feels like people who are supposed to be her friend aren’t on her side.  Monique is like, “You’re not hearing what we’re saying.”  Candiace says she hears exactly what they’re saying.  “For you to call me a hypocrite Candiace, I’m so irritated right now with you.  I’m not a hypocrite, I’ve been saying the same things to you!  You don’t like the fact that I’m being real with you.”  Fucking preach Monique!!!!  Candiace still does not get it.  “You’re sticking up for someone who had nothing but negative things to say about me.”  Monique is like, “You’re literally doing the same things she did last year!”  “Why don’t you go over there since ya’ll are good friends now?” Candiace says, being extremely petty.  “Don’t talk to me like I’m a child,” Monique says, walking away.  Candiace is still talking shit as Monique goes, and Monique stops and turns around and is like, “I will still drag you, pregnant and all!”  This sets Candiace off.  “Drag me, Monique! Drag me!” Monique makes some comment about throwing a bottle at Candiace’s head.  I’m dying.

Candiace feels judged, and Karen thinks that Candiace needs a friend at the moment. Karen thinks everyone’s been dramatic, and it’s not fair to call out Candiace when they’ve all had their moments.  Monique apologizes to Candiace for threatening to throw a bottle at her – she says she let her emotions get the best of her.  She’s just trying to be real with Candiace, and she doesn’t get why Candiace doesn’t’ see that.  Both girls are emotional, and Candiace tells Monique to get away from her.

Jesus! So much drama. Between everyone.  I truly do agree with Monique, 100%.  I think Candiace is struggling with the issues she’s having with her Mom, and that it is spilling over into all of her other relationships.

Are you Team Monique or Team Candiace? Do you think Michael is guilty?  Thoughts!?

Until next week…..

RHOP: DAYS OF OUR KNIVES

What a messy episode! 🔪

We pick back up where we left off – Candiace going crazy at Ashley, and Chris pulls her away and tries to calm her down. Karen also goes over and tries to help Candiace chill out a little bit, too.

Ashley is playing dumb, acting like she didn’t say something to purposely set Candiace off. “I’ve never seen someone act like this,” she tells the girls. Oh please. 🙄

Instead of trying to diffuse the situation, Gizelle uses this an opportunity to bring up the whole d**k sucking thing from earlier. “There was an issue we discussed earlier,” Gizelle nonchalantly states. She then starts to kind of tell Ashley what happened – and then completely throws Robyn under the bus and is like, “I’ll let Robyn take it from here.” 😂💀

Robyn tells Ashley exactly what is said, and Ashley is pissed. She wants to know who Michael supposedly said that about. “One of our men, and we’re not gonna say who,” Robyn replies. Interesting….so Robyn knows who Michael was talking about. In my personal opinion, I think it was Juan. Anyway.

Chris has somewhat managed to calm Ashley down, but he’s pissed off that his food is burning. Lmao. The convo is still going – Monique thinks that it is her business if Michael was talking about one of their husbands. Everyone’s arguing, and Ashley decides to bring up Monique’s “Amistad” comment about Katie. Deflect much, Ashley?

Candiace isn’t letting this go. “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire!” Her and Ashley go at it, and Candiace tells Ashley to get the fuck out of her house. Ashley leaves, unwillingly.

Gizelle follows Ashley outside. “I don’t know where that rumor came from,” Ashley says, clearly in complete denial. Gizelle is trying to talk some sense into her – she’s basically saying that she knows Candiace doesn’t like Ashley, but this is why – because she thinks her marriage is fake. And that she’s not “making it up” since Robyn “co-signed it.” Katie joins them, and she tells Ashley that the girls want her to go back inside. (Christ, Gizelle and Katie are so messy. That’s a bold faced lie. 😂) Gizelle thinks they should all go back in, and that she can probably get Candiace to apologize to Ashley.

Inside, Candiace has somewhat relaxed, until she realizes that Ashley is back in her home. Karen calls out Ashley – she’s like, “You we’re asked to leave, it’s rude to come back.” Ashley says that she needs to confront Robyn. “There are rumors about my husband, Karen! I need to address them!” Ashley snaps at Karen. Karen retorts, “Once you address them then you need to leave.”

Ashley begins to talk to Robyn, and Karen is chiming in with some shade. (I am dying.) Ashley basically tells her to stop butting in. Poor Chris – you can tell he literally wants nothing to do with this, but he also heard what he heard, so he interjects. “We both heard it,” Chris says, referring to himself and Robyn. “Me and Robyn both looked at each other.”

“You have a man as your witness. You’re done.” Karen is killing me this episode.

Ashley isn’t having this. “It didn’t happen!” Candiace isn’t here for Ashley’s denial. “You’re lying!” Candiace is adamant that Ashley heard Michael say it, too. Ashley is now saying that basically everyone else was super wasted and they have no idea what they’re talking about. The bickering is never ending – finally, Karen is like, “Enough is enough!” Ashley keeps fucking with Candiace, saying little jabs about her mom. Candiace is getting heated, and she kicks Ashley out of her house for the second time that night.

Monique pulls Katie aside, because she wants to clear the air about the Amistad comment. We barely get anywhere because Ashley is back. Even Monique is like, Why are you back? Candiace flips and tells Ashley, “You have been told to leave.” She kicks her out for the third time, and Katie follows.

“That was her trying to get me to go off,” Candiace says once Ashley is gone. I’m not sure who says it, Gizelle or Karen, but they tell her, “Candiace, you need to be held accountable.” Candiace gets upset. She says she’s always been supportive of Ashley. (Ummm….no you haven’t? Lmao.) Gizelle tries to explain why Candiace is so emotional, and it all boils down to the issues she’s currently having with her mom. “It was a dig at Candiace to say this was her mother’s home,” Karen says. (Thank you, Karen! 👏🏻👏🏻) “She’s hurt. Hurt people hurt people.” Preach.

In the car, Ashley and Katie are talking. “I don’t understand why everyone’s so fixated on making Michael look gay,” Ashley says. “Is he gay?” Katie asks. Ashley says no. “Does he hook up with guys?” Again, Ashley says no. Ashley tells Katie that she doesn’t really care about Candiace, but she’s questioning her friendship with Robyn. She doesn’t understand why Robyn would do this to her.

What kills me about all of this is that Ashley is completely missing the point. No one cares if Michael is gay – no one is fixated on making him look gay. He said something, and if he was a single man, it would’ve been whatever. But he’s not a single man. He’s married – to a woman – and trying to have a baby. Cheating is cheating, whether you want to have sex with a woman or a man who isn’t your significant other. I think Ashley is embarrassed and in denial.

The next day we are all around Potomac. Karen and Ray are having lunch, and taking about Karen’s new perfume.

Candiace is talking to Chris, who is encouraging her to call her mom. Candiace sets up a therapy session for herself and her mother with Gizelle’s therapist, Dr. Ken. With Chris’s support, Candiace calls her mom, and she agrees to go.

Ashley is saging her house. She tells the producers in her confessional that Michael was pissed about the allegations, and he’s adamant that he didn’t say what he’s being accused of saying. He’s questioning Ashley’s relationships with the girls. Ashley doesn’t blame him.

Monique and Chris go to a workout class. (I love these two, they’re my favorites.) Before the class starts Monique fills in Chris on what happened the night before. “Why would they even bring that up?” Chris asks, referring to Gizelle and Robyn. “Because they’re messy,” Monique replies. Lmao, she’s not wrong. 😆

Gizelle calls Ashley to “check on her” (although she says in her confessional she wants to know if Michael came out of the closet) and they briefly meet up. Gizelle basically throws Karen under the bus, saying that Karen said Michael doesn’t love Ashley after she left the night before. I don’t recall that? Ashley is pissed. She thinks Karen is “fake and phony”. Ashley also tells Gizelle that Michael is livid, and he doesn’t even want her to hang around with the girls anymore. She’s also pissed at Robyn. Gizelle does stick up for Robyn, but Ashley won’t budge. Clearly, her anger is misplaced. I agree with Gizelle when she says that it’s a “classic case of denial.” Gizelle tells Ashley she’ll talk to Robyn and let her know how she feels. She believes they can work through it.

Candiace and her mom, Dorothy, are on their way to see Dr. Ken. They start hashing out their issues before they even arrive, and I don’t understand why they bother doing this because they can not communicate with each other.

Once they do get to the office, Dr. Ken sets some ground rules. One of them is that only one person is allowed to speak at a time. Candiace begins, and she says that she feels like she and her mom “don’t really talk about things”. Basically, something happens, and then they just sweep it under the rug and it “goes away”, as if it didn’t happen. Dorothy can’t even follow this rule – she constantly keeps interrupting Candiace and Dr. Ken is getting super annoyed. Candiace brings up the purse incident, but Dorothy refuses to talk about it. Candiace becomes emotional because of this. Dorothy ignores all of that and just starts going on about how she pays for Candiace’s bills. Candiace calls her out and says she lying – she admits she pays a portion of the mortgage, but tells her she won’t have to for much longer. She says that she feels like Dorothy diminishes her every time she says things like that to her. Dorothy isn’t listening, and Dr. Ken says to her, “Dorothy, you’re not doing a good job right now. Listen to your daughter.” Candiace says that she doesn’t want to be around toxicity any longer – she just can’t do it. Dorothy literally doesn’t have a care in the world. It’s honestly amazing to me that this woman is a therapist. She’s cray cray.

Ashley is getting ready to perform at Virginia Gay Pride, and Gizelle, Robyn and Gizelle’s friend are going to see her. Ashley FaceTimes with Gizelle, and when she realizes Robyn is there she gets really awkward and hangs up. Super shady. Robyn agrees she will talk to Ashley. Gizelle fills her in on why Ashley’s upset, and Robyn says she didn’t have bad intentions, but she can see how it all came out horribly at Candiace’s dinner party.

Ashley performs. (We only catch a glimpse of this, and I’m sorry to be a dick, but Jesus this was awful.)

Ashley approaches Robyn and Gizelle after her performance, and her and Robyn get right into it. Ashley basically feels attacked – she doesn’t understand why Robyn would say anything when she knows Candiace has it out for her. Robyn explains that that wasn’t her intention, but then Ashley says that Robyn “co-signed false documents” and Robyn gets pissed. “Robyn ain’t co-sign nothing false,” she says. Ashley doesn’t deny this, but instead says, “I don’t think you’re a real friend to me.” Robyn’s like, “I’m not going to lie, Ashley.” Ashley is irrational angry at Robyn and stalks off, saying, “I don’t give a fuck.”

I think the real issue here is that Ashley wants Robyn to lie – I think Ashley knows exactly what Michael said, and she was hoping that Robyn wouldn’t mention it. That’s why she’s so mad at her, she wants loyalty from Robyn to take Michaels comment to the grave. Robyn isn’t doing that, though, so Ashley feels betrayed. Just my thoughts!

What’d you guys think? Do you think Michael said what he’s being accused of, or is everyone else lying? Team Ashley or Team Robyn?

Next week looks even better….it looks like some interesting info may be coming out…

Until next week….

RHOP: SEX, LIES & BUTTER KNIVES

I missed RHOP last week, but honestly, it was worth the wait. I love when Bravo gives us a super crazy intro – everyone is going insane at Candiace’s Dinner Party – and then we’re hit with a “One week earlier” – and everything is light and breezy around Potomac.

We’re at Candiace and Chris’s, and Candiace is talking about how she wants to move. Though the house is hers – it’s technically her Mom’s.  At least, I think her Mom’s name may be on it?  She is tied to it in some way.  Chris doesn’t think Candiace should be in a rush to move, but Candiace wants something that is just hers and Chris’s, and honestly, I don’t’ blame her.  Candiace tells us how she was recently at a friend’s wedding.  Her and her mother were bickering, and her mom smacked her in the face with her purse.  Like, WTF? How is this woman a therapist? Candiace talks about the upcoming dinner party she and Chris will be hosting.  Chris is working on a cookbook, and he wants to try out the recipes on the ladies.  Candiace tells us she did invite Ashley, despite their recent drama.  Chris is happy about this because he thinks Ashley would be a good critic, since her husband owns a restaurant.  It’s just a girls dinner – no husbands.

Ashley meets up with Gizelle and Robyn, and the three of them are going for a walk. They talk about New Orleans, and Gizelle asks, “What went on with you and Candiace?” Ashley dismisses it – she says she has a lot going on, so she’s just letting it go with Candiace for now.  She fills them in on the fact that she’s performing at Gay Pride in Virginia.  (Ashley has a single – “Coffee and Love”? Why don’t I recall this?)  She then tells them that she missed both of them at Monique’s baby shower.  Gizelle tells Ashley what Candiace had told her during lunch – that basically she didn’t buy anything Ashley said about being upset about her miscarriage, and that Michael had “crocodile tears.” Ashley is genuinely shocked by this, and upset, naturally.  Robyn tells us in her confessional that Candiace’s delivery is wrong, but she gets why Candiace is questioning Ashley.  “Some thing’s just aren’t normal.” Gizelle then brings up what Monique said about Katie, the whole “Amistad” thing.  Gizelle says that she and Monique are in a good place, so she doesn’t want to “attack her.”  But she does want to confront her.  And then in typical Gizelle fashion, she throws some shade in.  “Katie with her hair wrapped up looks better than Monique on her best day.” I’m shaking my head.

Karen and Ray have a brief scene while they take a dance class. Nothing really happens here.

Over at Monique’s, she’s having a maternity shoot. She’s literally in a wedding dress, and taking pictures in the pool under water.  At first I thought this was super extra, until I saw the pictures.  They came out so great!  She’s invited Ashley over.  They also talk about NOLA; Monique saw a change in Ashley, which is why she’s good with them moving forward with their friendship.  Ashley tells Monique about the conversation Gizelle apparently had with Candiace.  Monique doesn’t even remember saying Katie looked like “Amistad”, and she’s kind of like WTF?

Gizelle is with her mom, and their meeting with Gizelle’s realtor and a contractor. The house that she is currently looking to buy needs a ton of work, but the land is really good.  Gizelle said that it brings her “peace”, despite all of the work she’ll need to put into it.  Her mom approves, and you can tell that means a lot to Gizelle.

Over at Ashley and Michael’s, they’re moving their pool table out of the middle of the room, and Michael is totally freaking out. Honestly, this is so dramatic.  They talk about Monique’s baby shower, and Michael says he feels like he never really mourned over the fact Ashley miscarried.  Ashley debates if she wants to tell Michael what she’s heard Candiace has said, but decides not to.  She doesn’t see a point in bringing that negativity to their relationship right now.  Instead, she tells him about her spa day with Karen, and how she can see a friendship in the future with Karen, which is a nice surprise to her.  Ashley also talks about how she’s invited to Candiace’s dinner party, and she feels “apprehensive.”

We have a quick scene at Robyn’s – Juan and her two sons are making her breakfast in bed, and they also bring her roses. It’s actually really cute and sweet, and I feel like Robyn and Juan truly have come a long way.  Robyn talks about possibly re-marrying Juan.  I wonder if wedding bells are in their future.

Monique and Candiace meet up for dinner at Fig & Olive. Monique doesn’t believe that Candiace would say anything about her to try and put her in a bad light, so she wants to talk to her about what she’s heard that she has said, and just get it out of the way.  Monique tells her, and Candiace literally goes dead silent – almost like a “fuck, I got caught” silence. Then she says, “I told Gizelle that you said something about Katie looking rough and compared it to Amistad.”  Candiace tells us in a confessional that she regrets this.  Monique says, “Ashley said she was told that I compared Katie to a slave.”  Candiace replies, “That’s what Gizelle said.”  That makes more sense to Monique.  She goes on to say, “The way it was brought to me was almost like you were throwing me under the bus.” I honestly thought Candiace was going to apologize here – but she doesn’t.  “I felt like you were pre-judging Katie.”  Monique wasn’t “pre-judging” her, she was “making an observation.”  She basically says that Katie used to be super prim and proper and really cared about what people thought, and now she’s a free spirit.  She didn’t mean anything by it.  “I thought you were being judgmental,” Candiace says, not backing down.  Monique’s upset.  “You’re over here trying to pick me apart the way your mom does to you.” Candiace isn’t here for that.  “Don’t bring my mom into this.”  Monique responds, “You’re doing the same thing to me.”  Candiace is pissed.  And apparently, Candiace is also pissed because a week earlier, Monique told her that she was behaving like Ashley used to last year.  Basically, being messy.  I mean, Monique isn’t wrong. Candiace is literally just saying anything that comes to her mind. “I resent that,” Candiace says to Monique.

It’s the night of the dinner party. Robyn is the first to arrive (am I the only one shocked by this!?) Gizelle is next.  The girls all talk around the kitchen while Chris finishes up cooking.  They talk about how Ashley is invited, and Candiace makes a comment about her accepting the invitation in a “fake manner.”  “Not everything is fake about Ashley,” Gizelle remarks. “I’m not going to let you do that.”  Candiace is unbothered.  “Her hair is real.”  “Can you give the girl a break?” Gizelle asks.  “She’s coming into my home,” Candiace retorts. “That is her break.” Robyn calls out Candiace next.  “You have a hard on for Ashley’s life, it’s strange.” Candiace replies, “It keeps coming up.” Finally – the truth comes out.  They talk about the party at L2, and Candiace says what she heard Michael say – that he wanted to “suck someone’s d**k”.  Robyn feels like she’s in the twilight zone.  She knows she heard it, too, but she thought she was just drunk and confused.  Candiace says she’s tired of being accused of coming after Ashley for no reason.  There is a reason – her “sham, façade of a marriage.”

They continue to talk about it – Gizelle is shook. Robyn and Candiace both confirm that Ashley “disappeared” with Michael after he made the comment –for about thirty minutes or so.  Chris chimes in – holy shit, he heard it too! He thought Michael said, “sausage” and not “dick” but Robyn is adamant that she actually heard dick.  Gizelle wants to know who Michael is even talking about, and Robyn says, “One of our husbands.” It all clicks for Gizelle, and now she knows why Candiace has been coming for Ashley.  Robyn turns to Gizelle and says, “You remember a few years ago?” They reminisce on how Michael grabbed Andrew’s ass on the dance floor.  (Who is Andrew, and again, why don’t I remember this?) The doorbell rings, and the conversation is interrupted.  Candiace goes to get the door, and Gizelle turns to Robyn and says, “How did you not tell me this!?” Robyn replies, “I thought I was dreaming!” LMAO.  “What do we do with this?” I honestly can’t remember which one of them asked this, but I’m pretty sure it’s Gizelle that replies, “We bring it up!”

Monique is here, followed by Karen. Karen tells us it’s her first time seeing Gizelle since New Orleans, and she plans to just “keep it moving.”  Katie and Ashley are the last to arrive.  Monique touches Katie’s arm as she walks by and tells her she’d like to talk to her later.  You’d think this would be the drama of the dinner, but it’s not.  Katie either doesn’t know yet, or is just completely unfazed.  The second Ashley sits down she’s immediately on the defensive.  Chris made a pear dish that has wine in it, and he checks with Monique before serving it.  The ladies all think it’s fine for Monique, who’s pregnant, to have it.  “So Monique can have wine when she’s pregnant but I can’t have any alcohol when I’m trying to get pregnant?” It starts there, and then Ashley literally comes for Candiace about everything.  I’m dying when Monique is like, “Can we get the salad first?” LMAO.  Ashley says that there’s an “elephant in the room” and Gizelle replies, “There’s an elephant on the table, so let’s talk about it.” Ashley calls out Candiace for saying she wasn’t actually upset about the miscarriage, and Michael’s “crocodile tears.”  I’m dying – Candiace is literally impersonating Ashley on the microphone using a butter knife.  I am dead.  They’re screaming back and forth at each other, and the next thing I hear is Ashley saying, “I’m in your Mama’s house right now!” This sends Candiace over the edge, who literally leaps from her seat and is waving her butter knife in the air and yelling at Ashley to “Get the fuck out!” Chris has to come hold her back.

And then we are hit with a To Be Continued. Jesus! We haven’t even gotten to the heart of the issue yet, and everyone is already wildin’ out.  What’d you guys think?

Until next week….
