RHOD: WHERE’S COPENHAGEN?

Another week, another crazy episode of RHOD! This drama between D’Andra & LeeAnne is literally exhausting me.  I have a lot of feels on all the shit that went down, and although I truly try hard to stay neutral, it’s becoming increasingly more difficult with each episode.  It’s hard not to take sides when some of the arguments and fights are just so petty.  Or, even worse, really dark and deep.  Let’s go.

We start off at Cary’s house, where she’s making the girls gift baskets to deliver to them to invite them to go to Copenhagen. Her gift baskets include Danish Pastry, Danish Beer, and (gag) pickled herring?! Ugh it gives me the chills even looking at it through the TV screen.  I’m with Zuri – “disgusting”, LOL.  Cary has been practicing her Danish, and she writes “Join Me” in Danish on the cards she sends with the gift baskets.  It’s a cute idea, I’m all for a good gift basket.

Steph

Steph is casually getting her hair done in the middle of the kitchen (Steph lives my dream life) and she’s chatting about her upcoming vow renewal with Travis. Travis planned the entire thing, and although Steph know it’s coming, the rest of the details are a surprise.  Super sweet.

The gift baskets are arriving one by one. Everyone is excited and enthusiastic about this trip – they show each girl FaceTiming w/Cary, and everyone is in to go to Copenhagen.  I am LOLing that everyone freaks out over the fish.  And my favorite response ever – “Where’s Copenhagen?” Love Steph.

LL

It’s time to go dress shopping! We’re with LeeAnne, Stephanie, and L’s friends Kim and Christina.  Stephanie was happy to be included, and she tells us she thinks it’s bullshit that Brandi thinks LeeAnne only wants to be friends with her to hurt Brandi.  I totally agree with that, I think LeeAnne and Steph have truly started over and have bonded.  I’m genuinely enjoying the newfound friendship between LeeAnne and Stephanie.  LeeAnne begins to try on dresses, and she tells us she wants a “basic & boring” dress. She really just means simple.  She looks gorgeous in all of the dresses she tries on.  In her confessional, LeeAnne tells us that she feels silly for being so giddy about getting married because of her age.  Girl, you should never feel silly for that!  This is a wonderful, magical, romantic time – you have every right to feel giddy! ❤

The girls are talking, and LeeAnne informs us that she did invite D’Andra, but she couldn’t go. Stephanie’s advice is really on point – she wants the two to talk it out, because they’re fighting over petty bullshit, and if they make up one day and D’Andra wasn’t at LeeAnne’s wedding, she could be regretful for not making amends and having her BFF miss out on important memories.  Stephanie compares it to her own drama she previously had with Brandi – she said she really regrets them not talking, because they both missed out on big things in the other’s life.  I agree with Steph.  Life is too short.  Stephanie also tells LeeAnne that she has definitely noticed a change in her.  Even when LeeAnne is put in a position where she could fly off the handle, Steph observes that she remains calm.  LeeAnne tells us that she thinks D’Andra doesn’t believe that she has really changed, she thinks it’s fake.  I don’t think I necessarily agree with that.  I think D’Andra and LeeAnne have been friends for so long, and D is upset at the way L is currently treating her – I don’t think this feud has anything to do with D not thinking L has changed in a positive way.

ds

We head over to the office, where D’Andra meets with Mama Dee. They briefly bring up the contract, and handing over the papers for D’Andra to take over the company, and then D’Andra brings up what’s been really bothering her.  She fills Mama Dee in on what happened at the cooking class, and Mama Dee immediately cuts her off – she thinks D’Andra should’ve put a stop to the conversation with Kameron & Jimmy, and told them that it wasn’t an appropriate time to talk right then and there, at a cooking lesson.  D’Andra agrees.  Mama Dee then fills D’Andra in on her conversation with LeeAnne – how she’s so concerned about D’Andra and Brandi always drinking.  D’Andra is (understandably) pissed off that LeeAnne would ever say to this her 77 year old Mother and make her worry about something that is simply not true.  D’Andra expresses that LeeAnne doesn’t actually believe she has a drinking problem, she just always has to get the last word in.  I agree with the first part of that – I don’t think LeeAnne honestly believes D’Andra or Brandi have an issue with drinking, or are alcoholics.  I think LeeAnne was hurt and threw that out there, and now she can’t come back from what she said.  D’Andra tells Mama Dee that LeeAnne and Kameron are now BFF’s and that their loyalty is to each other.  I love when Mama Dee tells her, “Let them go off and have their wonderful loyalty to each other then!”

img_5056

At the same time, LeeAnne is over at Kameron’s house, drinking rose water and gossiping. They start out innocently enough, talking about dress shopping.  Before I even get into this, I have to say one thing first: Why wasn’t Kameron invited dress shopping????? Does anyone else find this odd?? Anyway.  LeeAnne tells Kam that she invited D’Andra dress shopping, but that she was too busy to go.  She reads us D’Andra’s text in a super sarcastic tone, one that I do not believe for a second D’Andra intended when sending it.  (LeeAnne also fails to mention that she invited her the night before she planned on going.) Kameron has an over the top reaction, as usual.  “Who is too busy to go wedding dress shopping for their best friend?”  “It’s psycho.”  “Who is this person?” Jesus Christ, my patience is running so thin watching Kam bash D’Andra.  (Yes, I used Kam’s most hated word  – well, besides, twat LMAO – BASH.  Because I’m sorry, that’s what is happening here!  You’ve been constantly BASHING D’Andra and it’s not okay.)

We switch back and forth between Mama Dee and D’Andra, and LeeAnne and Kameron. Mama Dee is growing upset, because she doesn’t believe her daughter is an alcoholic either, and she has her daughters back 100%.  (Yaaaasss Mama Dee!!)

Kameron tells LeeAnne that at Jeremy’s event, D’Andra came for her “full throttle” – which is a huge exaggeration. She literally said she was upset and felt attacked.img_5078D’Andra tells Mama Dee what happened at the event with Kameron. Although I am clearly on D’Andra’s side, I don’t think either one of them are seeing what happened in a clear light.  I do think Kameron was out of line for getting pissed at D’Andra and storming off, but I don’t know if I would say she was like the exorcist and her head was spinning off.  I think sometimes when you’re actually in the situation, you see it differently than an outsider would.  To both girls, it was a much bigger altercation than it actually was.  D’Andra tells Mama Dee how Kam got upset when D’Andra mentioned Jimmy (though, she wasn’t actually talking poorly about Kam’s MIL) and how Kameron referred to Jimmy as the “Grand Dame” of Dallas.  I’m dying at Mama Dee’s priceless reaction this – “She is?”  D’Andra also tells Mama Dee that she feels as though LeeAnne and Kameron are being mean girls.  Mama Dee tells D’Andra that if she has to be mean, then she has to be mean.  Tell them off.  (I’m loving this side of Mama Dee, going into complete Mama Bear mode!)

img_5072LeeAnne brings up the Pajama Party for Hard Night Good Morning, which she had coordinated before “D’Andra betrayed her.” Also, another exaggeration here.  LeeAnne doesn’t want to go, but feels like she has to because essentially she set it up.  Kameron tells us she’s glad she’s not going, and I’m so annoyed with Kameron right now that I’m also glad she’s not going.  Take your negativity somewhere else, please.  Then they both start talking about the “Simmons name” and I’m so over it.  Please, can we get the fuck off of this topic?  Kameron tells us that D’Andra is on a self-destructive path and I’m basically screaming at the TV at this point.  Can you please give us an example of this, Kameron?  Because all I see is D’Andra living her life.  Like I’m so tired of this.

kam.jpgAlso, before I even move on to the next scene, I have to say this: Can someone please explain Kam’s logic to me? She’s so worried about how she is perceived in Dallas Society, yet she’s on a Bravo Reality TV Show.  (And I am NOT hating on Bravo, you all know how much I love Andy and I love all of the housewives, Pump Rules, ETC.  I’m just using this example to prove my point.)  I’m guessing that in Dallas Society it’s probably not proper to be on a reality show at all?  Also, what’s with the double standards?  How come when Brandi says twat you freak the fuck out, but when LeeAnne insinuates giving a blow job, you’re okay with it?  (Again – I don’t care that LeeAnne did that, at all.  It was funny.  Just proving my point about Kam and her double standards.)  Like why is that acceptable, but anything D or B do is not? It’s annoying to continuously listen to this bullshit.

img_5067It’s Pajama Party time! D’Andra has reformulated the Green Miracle product, and there is also a new night moisturizer coming out.  YAY D’Andra!  I’m over the top happy for her, she deserves it.  Everyone is dressed so cute in their PJ’s (or lingerie – Cary is smoking!) and we are celebrating Hard Night Good Morning.  LeeAnne expresses again how she doesn’t want to be there, and also says that D’Andra stabbed her in the back.  Again, I would say that’s an exaggeration.  I don’t see how D stabbed L in the back?

img_5052Everyone is arriving, and I have to say that Mama Dee in her leopard print is literally everything. She’s killing it.  Mama Dee tells Brandi and Cary and to watch out for her daughter in Copenhagen, and if she comes back upset everyone will wish they were dead, or something like that.  I literally LOLed at Cary’s face.  Mama Dee also speaks privately with Brandi and thanks her for being a good friend to D’Andra.  She confides in her that D’Andra has been extremely upset over LeeAnne and Kameron’s accusations, to the point that she’s losing sleep over it.  Brandi thinks that’s some things are not worth losing sleep over.  Preach, babe.

img_5063

img_5054D’Andra is talking with Cary, and she tells her she’s still upset at how Kameron acted at Jeremy’s event. She doesn’t understand why Kameron only focused on D’Andra saying she felt hurt by Jimmy, and not the fact that she felt hurt by her.  Cary doesn’t think Kam’s intentions were bad, but I disagree with this.  Cary expresses that she’s worried about Copenhagen, and D’Andra says she “doesn’t want to go” – which is unfair.  This is Cary’s trip.  D’Andra explains that she just doesn’t want to listen to the same bullshit, and she’s not going to take their shit anymore.  She says that they’ve awakened the dragon, and Cary says, “You can be a real bitch” which made me LOL because D’Andra agrees with her.  I understand Cary being somewhat annoyed that she felt like D was anticipating drama in Copenhagen, because like I said, this trip is for Cary – but I don’t think D’s intentions were bad, I think she’s so caught up in this whirlwind of accusations that she can’t focus on anything else.  She does tell Cary in the end that this trip is for her, and that they’re going to have a good time.

Inside, Mama Dee and LeeAnne are talking. LeeAnne says she loves D’Andra, and Mama Dee responds with, “And she loves you, too!”  LeeAnne then says, “She hurt me”, to which Mama Dee replies, “You’ve hurt her, too.”  Mama Dee starts saying how LeeAnne voiced her concerns to her at the cooking lesson about Brandi & D’Andra’s drinking, and then I’m completely shell shocked because LeeAnne literally turns her back to Mama Dee midsentence and starts talking to Cary!  This honestly doesn’t seem like something I think L would do – I wonder if the producers edited it this way? So shady.  I feel like if Mama Dee and LeeAnne had that conversation, Mama Dee may have been able to intervene and get D & L on speaking terms again.  I was disappointed.

img_5070

img_5061The girls are chatting outside, this time Brandi’s included, and D’Andra is filling her in on what has been going on. Mama Dee appears, and she tells Brandi how LeeAnne said she also had a drinking problem.  Brandi is upset for many reasons, and she has every right to be.  She’s worried that an accusation like that could affect the adoption process with Bruin.  It really is so fucked up for anyone to say something like that.

img_5069Brandi and D’Andra chat separately, and I really am loving their friendship as well. Brandi is proud of D’Andra for owning her truth and she fully supports her in being herself.  I think that’s all D’Andra needs at this point in her life – supportive people, who aren’t so worried about your last name and your dynasty and upsetting the socialites of Dallas.  It’s all just so ridiculous.  I’m glad D’Andra has Brandi.

img_5065

The vow renewal is here. Steph is looking absolutely gorgeous.  Brandi and Cary arrive, and Brandi can’t stay for the whole ceremony.  Steph is disappointed, but she doesn’t tell Brandi this because she doesn’t want her to feel guilty.  Cary is sick, but is still staying.  Of course the PJ Party gets brought up, and I’m LOLing at Brandi’s impression of Mama Dee.  Her impressions are so spot on.  Brandi tells Steph and Cary that this is why she can’t be friends with LeeAnne, and Steph says, “LeeAnne said that she never said that.”  I’m so glad Cary is here right now to chime in, because she is the one who heard it firsthand out of LeeAnne’s mouth.  She tells us, “I think Mama Dee is right,” and both girls look shocked.  Cary explains to them how LeeAnne originally said she was just concerned about drinking, but then at the event Kam was hosting she actually used the word alcoholic.

img_5064

girls

Steph is clearly uncomfortable, and I understand that completely. It’s so hard to be friends with someone who your best friend doesn’t like.  And I get that mentality – when your BFF hates someone, you automatically hate them, too.  At the end of the day though, you can still be loyal and be friends with whoever you like.  I’ve learned the hard way myself how having this unwavering loyalty can backfire on you.  What happens when your BFF starts being friends with that person again, and you’re just there like….what now?  It’s a shitty situation to be in.  Steph can still be loyal to Brandi and be friends with LeeAnne.  Steph wants to confront LeeAnne, because she wants to know she actually said that, and unfortunately she thinks it’s going to have to happen in Copenhagen.  Cary looks so worried.

img_5049All drama aside, the actual ceremony was so gorgeous. I love that Travis flew in Steph’s original MOH.  I also love that she can still fit into her wedding dress from ten years ago!  She looked flawless, as usual.  Chance and Cruz were so cute, and I just love their family.  I also LOLed at Travis mentioning butt sex in front of Steph’s parents, and her Mother’s mortified expression, lmao.  It was such a nice, drama-free day.

img_5055

The girls are all packing now for their trip, and then we see them all heading to the airport. Cary, Steph, Kameron & Brandi are all flying first class, and LeeAnne and D’Andra are flying coach.  I already feel uncomfortable watching D’Andra and LeeAnne not speak at all.

Next week, shit looks like it’s about to hit the fan. Is it Wednesday yet!?

Until next week….

RHOD: A RECIPE FOR DISASTER

We start out with D’Andra and Jeremy, and they’re doing a photo shoot for Hard Night Good Morning, D’Andra’s skin care line. We learn that D’Andra’s college roomie named the company, because D was a former party girl, and you could party all night and still look great the next morning.  I love that D’Andra and Jeremy work so well together – they have such palpable chemistry, it’s so obvious how in love they are.  I love watching them.  D’Andra is the face of her own company, and Jeremy is the photographer on the shoot.

Kameron is helping host the Elizabeth W. Boutique Opening, and Cary and LeeAnne attend the event. The girls get to chatting, and I’m not liking where this conversation is headed.  LeeAnne brings up Cary’s launch party and how hurt she is by D’Andra saying that she & Rich lead separate lives.  Cary doesn’t really want any part of it, however, in her confessional she does say that she hopes LeeAnne realizes how much it hurts to talk about someone’s family, because that’s exactly how Cary felt last year when LeeAnne said some not so nice things about Mark.  (Karma?)

LeeAnne is really stirring the pot in this scene, if you want my honest opinion. She’s coming across like she’s concerned about D’Andra, but saying things like, “you’re showing up to a charity event sloshed and shitfaced” is not showing concern, it’s throwing out accusations that aren’t even true.  Cary really doesn’t want anything to do with this conversation, that much is clear.  And Kameron is just nodding and agreeing with everything LeeAnne says.  I do find it funny, too, that when Cary asks LeeAnne if D’Andra ever had a prior drinking issue, LeeAnne doesn’t really answer the question, but dances around it.  Last week, LeeAnne absolutely implied that D had a previous problem.  I’m not liking this at all.

After the Hard Night Good Morning Shoot, Jeremy and D’Andra are talking, and D tells him she’s stressed about the upcoming cooking class. Jeremy asks why LeeAnne is even invited, and she tells him that Mama Dee invited her and Kameron, but explains how awkward it is right now because of what’s going on between the two former besties. Jeremy tells D’Andra that “that’s just how she is”.

Back over at the Boutique Opening, LeeAnne is still talking about D’Andra & Brandi. She thinks that her words are constantly getting twisted by both girls.  She mentions that she doesn’t have that problem with Cary, Kameron or Stephanie – just D’Andra & Brandi.  She also says that she feels as though they are “bullying” her.  And then she says the word I’ve been dreading hearing – alcoholic.  I honestly wasn’t sure if she was talking about D’Andra or Brandi, but you cannot just throw the word alcoholic around freely like that, like there are no consequences.  That’s a huge accusation, and a very untrue one at that.  Like Cary says, “Those are big words.”   I’m not here for this.

The scene between Mark & Cary was really cute. I feel like we’ve seen a change in their relationship, a very positive one.  Cary tells him how her cousin Camilla from Copenhagen is a musician and she invited Cary to go see her perform.  Cary wants to go so she can reconnect with her family, and she also hopes it will help her relationship with her father.  The day of the performance is a day that Mark is operating, so he can’t go, but he still thinks Cary should, and also thinks it’s a good idea to bring the girls with her.  Cary & Mark FaceTime with Cary’s parents, who are super excited she’s going.  Her dad tears up, as does Cary.  It’s a really nice moment and I’m happy for her.  I’m also excited for this Girls Trip!

Can I just say that I love Steph & Travis? I love that we open the scene with the two of them, and you just hear Steph say, “I think we should just get drunk and sloppy.”  LOL love her.  They’re talking about their vow renewal, which is happening before Travis goes to Harvard for the month.  I love when Travis tells Steph it’s important to him because it’s important to her and makes her happy.  Men everywhere, please take note!  Steph also voices to Travis her worries about being alone.  She expresses that because she struggles with anxiety and depression and has been on and off medication, she’s worried that being alone will be too much for her.  I love how sweet and reassuring Travis is.  I totally feel for Steph, too.  I understand that feeling of struggling with anxiety and depression, and dealing with medication.  It can be a lot.  I know Steph will be fine, she’s stronger than she realizes.  ❤

Now we’re at Mama Dee’s BFF, Marian’s, house, over in Cedar Creek Lake. It’s time for Cooking Lessons!  D’Andra and Jeremy show up first, and we learn that D loves to cook.  D’Andra also shares with Marian what’s going on between herself and LeeAnne, and I love when Mama Dee chimes in.  “Marian, remember when we used to fight all the time?”  and Marian responds, “What do you mean used to?” LMAO.  It gives D’Andra hope that her and LeeAnne can overcome the struggles of their friendship since Mama Dee and Marian have.

Rich and LeeAnne are the first to arrive, and I definitely feel the tension between them. Mama Dee gives D’Andra an apron that says Queen Bee, and apparently D’Andra thinks this is Mama Dee’s way of telling LeeAnne to stop messing with her daughter.  (Ronnie & Ben from Watch What Crappens Podcast thought this too!  I seriously didn’t think that at all LOL.)  LeeAnne tells D, “You can finally be a Queen.”

Kameron, Court, and Kam’s MIL, Jimmy, arrive. Jimmy is an “Icon of Dallas Society.”  Jesus Christ I am rolling my eyes so far into the back of my head right now.  We jump right into cooking, and I’m LOLing at Kameron saying that the meat loaf looks like dog food, and at D’Andra saying she argues with Mama Dee about how much ketchup should be used.

Once the food is in the oven (or on the stove, whatever), D’Andra, Kameron and LeeAnne are just hanging around the kitchen, and D tells us that “there’s an elephant in the room.” Kam asks how Cary’s event was – and D’Andra brings up LeeAnne saying she has a drinking problem.  LeeAnne says that she did not say that, and she can keep on saying it until the cows come home, but that’s not what she said.  D’Andra wants to know what she did say, then, and LeeAnne said she’s just concerned that Brandi only wants to hang out to get drunk together, and that she doesn’t see D’Andra’s other good qualities, or some BS like that.  Kameron agrees, saying that it’s totally okay to go to charity events and have a few drinks, but you have to know your limit – apparently Brandi was “swaying” at the No Tie Event.  D’Andra says she doesn’t visually recall Brandi swaying, and LeeAnne insists that she was.  (I mean, who gives a fuck though?  You guys all drink and get drunk at charity events, why are we picking on Brandi?)  Mama Dee puts an end to this real quick and calls LeeAnne over to chat with her.

Jeremy and Rich are outside talking, and I like that the men can get along, even when their wives/girlfriends can’t. They both made me laugh in this scene.  I know people are speculating about Rich, but I genuinely like him.  I think he’s good for LeeAnne.  I certainly don’t think he’s cheating either.

During Mama Dee and LeeAnne’s chat, it seems like everything is going okay. Mama Dee wants LeeAnne and D’Andra to put aside their differences and make up. I hear that.  In a confessional, though, LeeAnne tells us that “blood is thicker than water”, so at the end of the day she knows Mama Dee is on her daughters side.

D’Andra, Kameron and Jimmy are chatting at the table, just the three of them, and I am highly annoyed by this scene. Kameron is telling D’Andra she needs to be cautious of who she hangs out with. (I’m assuming she is referring to Brandi?)  I love that D’Andra says she’s almost 50 years old, and she doesn’t have to worry about what people think about her; she’s not in her 30’s like Kameron, with little kids.  Jimmy keeps on at it though – she tells D’Andra that Kameron has a friend, and Kameron knows who she’s talking about, that she tells Kam she shouldn’t be friends with because of her behavior, and people are going to associate Kameron with her and believe that that’s how she acts.  Okay – I thought Jimmy was referring to Brandi in this scene, but I honestly had no idea.  I think D’Andra took it like Jimmy was referring to her.  And Kameron is just sitting there nodding and agreeing with Jimmy, and I’m enraged at this entire encounter.  First of all – the who fuck is Jimmy Westcott?  I’m sorry, I don’t care if you’re some “Icon” of Dallas Society – no one in the real world knows you, or cares what you think!  Why are we worried about what this woman thinks?  For Gods sakes, she’s wearing neon green nail polish.  I’m so over this.

I needed a break from that house, so I’m happy we’re with Brandi and Travis right now, at the jewelry store. Brandi is helping Travis pick out Steph a ring for the vow renewal.  I’m even more excited Baby Bruin is here (I just love him – he’s the cutest!)

Back at Cedar Creek Lake, we’re all eating outside. Mama Dee gives a toast, and it’s seriously everything.  She’s a smart woman, we could all learn a thing or two from Mama Dee. (Can we give her a spin off?  I know I’ve been hard on Mama Dee in the past, but it was only when she wasn’t being very nice to D’Andra!  But I love her – and no matter what, she clearly has her daughters back.)  LeeAnne tells us that this toast makes her feel sad, and she feels like D’Andra should know that she’s clearly trying to fix the relationship because she’s there, at the cooking lesson.  She wants to D’Andra to say something, but I’m so confused- what do you want her to say?  She did say something, and you shot her down so fast.  There’s no resolution here.

Now we’re at The Green Room Bar and Grill, for an unveiling of a mural that was replicated of a photograph that Jeremy has taken. D’Andra is pissed at Kameron for coming for her at Cedar Creek Lake.  She says she would never speak badly to Jimmy, because she’s her elder, but she thinks it’s bullshit Kam brought Jimmy to fight her battles for her.  Everyone arrives, but we have no LeeAnne or Rich.  D’Andra tells us that she did invite LeeAnne, because she, too, felt sentimental during her mother’s toast.  Rich does show up, but he tells D’Andra that LeeAnne was going to try to make it, but she was at a Fashion Show.  Like really?

D’Andra and Kameron talk, and D tells K how she feels. She says she’s upset, her feelings are hurt, and she felt attacked.  Kameron literally loses her shit and I’m so confused how we went from 0 to 100 so quickly.  Like why can’t D tell you her feelings are hurt without you being a bitch about it?  Kameron is “disgusted” that D’Andra would feel like Jimmy attacked her.  She says that Jimmy is not someone you want to cross and, I swear, I literally said at the same time as D’Andra, “Is that a threat?”  Kameron is now offended that D’Andra is offended, and this is just a bunch of bullshit.  Cary chimes in, and she tells D’Andra that Kameron is just trying to be honest with her.  D’Andra shoots back that, “It’s none of her damn business.” And I’m like YESSSS, PREACH GIRL!  Kameron is literally so extra, she leaves.  Cary follows her, and K tells Cary, “She’s done.”  She goes on to say that everyone is talking shit about D’Andra and she’s just trying to help her but she’s being a crazy bitch.  No, Kam, I think that’s you.  Kameron leaves super dramatically, and I’m honestly just like, good fucking riddance.  D’Andra tells Mama Dee what happened, and Mama Dee tells her that she shouldn’t care what anyone else thinks.  I agree Mama Dee!

The mural is unveiled, and it’s beautiful.  It is a really nice moment and I’m glad that D’Andra is surrounded by her true friends and family.

Each episode seems to be getting crazier and crazier. Each preview for the following week looks more insane than the last. It looks like shit about to go down next week….we’ll have to wait and see.

Until next week…..

RHOD: ARE YOU SAYING I’M AN ALCOHOLIC?

Ugh….this was a really tough episode to watch. Let’s just get right into it.

We switch back and forth between LeeAnne & D’Andra. LeeAnne is having lunch with Rich, and D’Andra is at the office with Mama Dee. L is discussing wedding plans with Rich, and then she mentions that she invited Stephanie to go dress shopping with her. She says she would also like D to go, too, but doesn’t think that will happen. Cut to the office – we learn that Mama Dee planned a cooking class/lesson with D’Andra, LeeAnne & Kameron. D’Andra uses this as an opportunity to tell her Mom what’s going on between herself and LeeAnne.

At the restaurant, LeeAnne tells Rich how D’Andra said that “they live separate lives” and Rich is clearly pissed. I totally understand being annoyed with that. However, L also says that she’s not sharing any information with D because she’s Brandi’s drinking buddy. Seriously? If L had just said she doesn’t want B to know her business, then fine, I get that. But to say “drinking buddies” – no. She then goes on to say “If she wasn’t getting drunk and telling Brandi everything then maybe I would trust her.” I call bullshit on this. I definitely think L is hurt that D is telling B her business – which I honestly do understand – but she’s suddenly throwing drinking in there and now this somehow all seems calculated. I feel like she’s gearing up to get her revenge on D’Andra. However, she still says that she doesn’t want to lose their friendship.

Mama Dee is honest as always, and tells D’Andra to basically just butt out. D tells her it’s out of concern, but Mama Dee stands her ground. It gets D’Andra thinking that maybe she should butt out. D will stay out L’s relationship if it means saving their friendship.

Over at Steph’s, we meet her sister, Tiffani. Steph tells us Tiffani is like “Travis with a vagina and a twang” LMAO. Steph opens up to her sister about how she’s worried about Travis attending Harvard for the month. She confesses that she doesn’t know how to the pay the bills and she’s worried how’ll she manage when he’s gone. Steph also confides in Tiffani that she feels like she has to be perfect to be loved. She tells us that she found her voice in her friendship with Brandi, and she wants to do the same in her marriage. I feel like Steph is really coming into her own more and more each episode. She’s so strong, and so capable, and I hope that she starts to realize she can do anything! Love her.

Brandi is having lunch with Brian and Baby Bruin. (How cute is he!?) The three of them are very content and happy. It’s so nice to see.

We’re at the grand opening of Cary’s Laser Center, and I’m already nervous for a few reasons. Kameron & LeeAnne arrive first (love Kam’s dress!) and I freak out over LeeAnne and Mark coming face to face for the first time since the reunion. Of course all went well, but I felt L when she said that her heart was pounding. Mine was too, girl. The girls are all arriving, and LeeAnne shares that doesn’t even want to look at Brandi. I mean, that makes sense after what happened at 80’s Prom. All of the girls look so gorgeous and sparkly, I love it.

LeeAnne & D’Andra decide to go and talk, and I’m so excited. I’ve wanted them to fix their friendship since all this drama occurred! L tells D it upset her that she thought she was unhappy in her relationship. This I totally understand. However, she then goes on to say that she doesn’t know what D has told B, because of all the stuff B said to L at the last event. She says D is spending a lot of time with B. Again, I get this too. LeeAnne and Brandi have issues – she doesn’t want D’Andra sharing stuff about her to Brandi. D’Andra thinks that L’s issue with B are a separate issue, but she does agree with L that she will no longer share info about L to her. We’re making progress, right? Maybe? ….

Meanwhile the rest of the girls are all chatting and Kam tells Brandi she was the “fun patrol” at the 80’s Prom & asks what happened between Brandi and LeeAnne. Brandi does tell them the truth – she says exactly what LeeAnne said. All of the girls seem appalled and don’t know what to say. (If you’re forgetting what was said, L told B, “How would you feel if I said you had a baby to save your marriage.”) Brandi feels like LeeAnne hit below the belt, and she did. But that doesn’t mean Brandi was 100% innocent in this either. She was poking LeeAnne, and I don’t believe she was coming from a positive place. Does that make it okay for L to say what she said? Absolutely not. But no one is innocent in this.

LeeAnne & D’Andra aren’t making progress like I had hoped. D thinks L is deflecting by making this all about Brandi, which I can see. I feel like it’s all getting really blown out of proportion. And then L takes it to a whole new level when she says, “I feel like when you’re with her all you do is end up drinking.” (In regards to D & B’s relationship.). D’Andra is clearly not expecting this, and she asks L, “Are you saying I have a drinking problem?” They only show us LeeAnne nodding, which could be edited. But it doesn’t stop there. LeeAnne also says that she thinks Brandi is unhappy or stressed and that she’s escaping through alcohol. This is absolute BS. D’Andra is clearly very upset – she brings up the fact that her father, who was an alcoholic, committed suicide in a drunken rage. LeeAnne knows this, so I’m blown away that she would even go here. No, she doesn’t actually say that D’Andra is an alcoholic – but she implies it. My heart is literally broken for D’Andra right now. She’s furious and tells L that she’s done with the conversation, and L asks if she’s “dismissing her”. Seriously?

Kam comes in, and D’Andra uses this as a chance to get the hell out. Kam tells LeeAnne what Brandi had told the girls, and LeeAnne is outraged. I don’t understand this – LeeAnne, it doesn’t matter that you said, “how would you feel if I said this”, it doesn’t change the fact that you said it. That thought crossed your mind at some point or you wouldn’t have said it. L thinks her words are being “twisted” though, and she plans on clearing this up.

D’Andra is with Brandi, Steph, and another girl who’s name I’m unsure of (sorry!) and she’s telling them what happened with L. “We were okay and then she said I was an alcoholic.” The girls are shocked. D shares the story about her father with the girls, and I’m glad she has all three of them with her to comfort her. My heart literally hurts for her right now. Cary comes in, and they fill her in. Cary is skeptical – she wants to know if L actually said the word alcoholic. Personally I don’t think it matters – it was clearly implied. The word alcoholic didn’t have to be used. I’m honestly shocked at LeeAnne’s accusations. I don’t believe for a second that L thinks D has a drinking problem. I think that this was a calculated move on her end. She was hurt by D and wanted to get back at her. Obviously this is just my opinion, and I truly hope that I am wrong. I think D also feels this way, though, and I’m losing all hope for their friendship to be salvaged.

LeeAnne confronts Brandi in front of all of the girls, and the conversation goes in circles. L still stands by the whole “I didn’t actually say it” but I think that’s ridiculous. Brandi isn’t backing down either. Cary ends the argument by saying that this isn’t the time or the place, and the girls stop.

In the car on the way home from the event, Steph & Brandi talk about what went down. We see in a confessional that Steph doesn’t take B’s side – she thinks B & L are both guilty in this argument, and I totally agree. B tells S she doesn’t believe L has changed – and she also thinks L is only pretending to be friends with S to get back at B. WTF is going on in this show right now!? Ouch, Brandi! That’s such a mean and hurtful thing to say. Steph’s feelings are hurt and I feel for her. That was such a shitty thing to say. I still love B, but I really hope she apologized to Steph!

Ugh this episode. I think there is so much miscommunication going on in the group right now, and not enough honesty. I think so much of this drama with LeeAnne & D’Andra could’ve been avoided if LeeAnne just told D why she was upset with her from the get go – and I think that reason is that she’s friends with Brandi. I’ve tried really hard to stay completely neutral, and while I don’t think D’Andra always approached LeeAnne in the best way, I do think her intentions were good. I thought LeeAnne’s intentions were good as well, until these accusations. L, I still love you, but please make this right! ❤️

Next week, we see Kam basically coming for D, and I am so not here for that. But my lips are sealed until I actually see what happens,.

Until next time….

RHOD: 80’S LADIES

I have to start off by saying, #RHOD is giving me life.  This is easily the best housewife franchise there is.  I genuinely love these ladies.  Yes, sometimes they do some questionable things….but who doesn’t?  They’re relatable, they’re fun, and they’re just trying to live their best lives.  80’s Ladies did not disappoint, so let’s get to it.

LADIES WHO LUNCH & BABES THAT BOOZE

Steph, LeeAnne and Kameron are all meeting up for lunch today, and I’m honestly loving this trio.  LeeAnne remarks that she know Kam & Steph will get along well, because they’re like Barbie and Skipper – a perfect match. LOL.

Boozy lunch

Meanwhile, Brandi and D’Andra are meeting up for lunch elsewhere.  The waiter asks them if they would like a glass or a bottle of Rose, and they both pause for a moment as they look at each other, and Brandi responds, “We might as well get a bottle.”  Yes!  I love these two.  They are so much fun together.  I’m so happy for Brandi that she hired a Nanny, because she needed the help.  Being a Mom doesn’t have to be your identity, and it’s totally okay to have help, and to have some “me time” or girl time.  I love that D’Andra and Brandi are having fun and letting loose.  Get it girls!

Stephs cute confessional

Back over at lunch with Kam, Steph, and LeeAnne, Steph admits that she was nervous about meeting the girls.  (Steph is so cute, and so sweet.)  I’m LOLing when Steph says she’s like Christopher Columbus- “Stefina Columbus, exploring uncharted territory in the land of pink & carnie.” wmoji  Kam goes on to say that she feels like Steph is their new pledge sister for their sorority – LMAO.

boozy lunch 2

D’Andra is telling Brandi about her chat with LeeAnne.  She feels as though as LeeAnne is pushing her away.  In D’s confessional, she tells us that she has heard rumors that Rich has been unfaithful.  She also thinks LeeAnne knows that she’s heard this, or has heard these rumors herself.  She doesn’t want to be the one to point out the rumors, because she feels like she’ll be blamed for it.  Which, I don’t blame her – being the messenger sucks, the messenger always get it the worst.  She also reiterates that she feels like LeeAnne and Rich live separate lives.  Brandi listens, and then she gives her own opinion.  She doesn’t believe that LeeAnne has truly changed, and she also thinks that she’s jealous of D’Andra.  I’m not sure how I feel about that statement right now.  I do, however, agree with D’Andra when she says, “best friends tell each other everything.”

Kam and Steph seem to be getting along very well, and LeeAnne points out their similarities; they’re both basically wearing the same shade of pink, their sons have the same name (Cruz/Cruise….sorry I can’t remember if one is spelled with a K!) and they’re the only blondes of the group.  LeeAnne and Kam feel like Steph is different when she’s away from the “other girls”, and I’m a little bit annoyed because obviously when they say “other girls” they’re referring to Brandi.  In Steph’s confessional, she says she feels like everyone lumps her & Brandi together like they’re Siamese twins.  I understand her frustration.  Yes, Brandi is her BFF, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have her own identity or her own friendships.  I’m not blaming Brandi for this at all, either, I’m blaming everyone else who keeps making this some kind of thing, when it’s not.  At least, it shouldn’t be.  LeeAnne then brings up how Cary told her that Brandi said she’s in Kameron’s ear.  There is way too much he said/she said right now, I can’t deal with it.

When we switch back over to D’Andra & Brandi, they’re getting drunk on tequila shots and having a blast – and I love it!

LGBTQ BLACK TIE KICK OFF

LeeAnne is hosting a charity event for the LGBTQ community.  We see L in a confessional say that she thinks D’Andra’s priorities have changed, because D’Andra isn’t there.  (Yet.)  She says that’s how she became friends with D’Andra; they met through charities.  I don’t think that this is a fair statement.  Even if D’s priorities have changed – who cares?  She’s not obligated to go to every single charity event and she shouldn’t be judged for it, either.  I think it’s pretty obvious that LeeAnne is hurt.  I wish she would just tell D’Andra why.

L.jpg

D’Andra does show up to the event, albeit late.  And with Brandi, which LeeAnne is NOT happy about.  Should D’Andra have brought Brandi to the event?  Maybe not, but I honestly don’t think it’s that big of a deal.  There wasn’t ill intent behind it – they had been together all day.  Also, it’s a charity event.  I don’t really know how these things work, but isn’t everyone welcome?

wt.jpg

LeeAnne tells D’Andra what Cary had told her that Brandi said, and D’Andra admits that she didn’t know.  D also thinks that LeeAnne and Brandi need to chat – and I agree, but right now is absolutely not the time or the place.  LeeAnne confronts her, and Brandi “calls bullshit.”  Brandi also brings up things that LeeAnne has said; recently, and from two years ago – about B being a bad influence, etc.  LeeAnne gets pissed, and she is even more annoyed that D’Andra has stayed silent.  Nothing gets resolved, of course, and Brandi leaves.  D’Andra tells LeeAnne that she came to be supportive of her, and LeeAnne shoots back that there’s like 12 minutes left of the event, and she showed up with Brandi.

This entire scene was such a shitshow.  I have so many issues with it.  I do feel like LeeAnne was definitely being aggressive, and I am not here for her bashing Brandi for drinking.  So what, she was drunk?  She was letting loose and having fun.  We aren’t going to judge her for that, it’s bullshit.  Clearly, LeeAnne is mad at D’Andra – she needs to just talk to her and tell her exactly how she feels.  Tell her that your feelings are hurt that she showed up late and brought someone she knows you aren’t crazy about!  Don’t be passive aggressive, be honest.  D’Andra has always been understanding.  If LeeAnne approached the situation in that manner and D’Andra reacted negatively, then I would get it.  But she didn’t give D a chance. It’s frustrating.

GIRL POWER AT IT’S FINEST

The scene with Kameron & Court was EVERYTHING.  I hate talking poorly about anyone’s significant other, but I literally cringe when I watch Court speak to Kam.  He can be super condescending, and it honestly enrages me.  He doesn’t really support Kam in her Sparkle Dog endeavor, and a lot of the time I feel like he’s just humoring her.  Hearing how the conference call went made me jump for joy.  Yaaaassss Kam!  Get it, girl!  Court is shocked, and I’m thrilled.  Fuck you, Court, for doubting your Boss Bitch wife.  So proud of Kameron, and excited for her.  I hope Sparkle Dog takes over the fucking world, LOL.

Lmao.jpg

^ That’s my Kameron face to Court after the conference call.  “I TOLD YOU SO.”

BALANCE & (VAGINAL) REJUVENATION

steph.jpg

We’re with Cary and Stephanie, and Steph is having Vaginal Rejuvenation because “she pees her pants in public all the time” – LMAO, love her.

When Steph’s done, she’s chatting with Cary, and they are talking about the No Tie Fundraiser Prom Event that Kameron is hosting.  Steph says that Cary can ride with her and Brandi, and Cary explains that she really needs to talk to Brandi because she fucked up.  She tells Steph how she told LeeAnne what Brandi had said, and I love how Steph responds to this.  Can everyone take notes please and be a Stephanie Hollman type of friend?  She tells Cary in a very sweet way that she may be going overboard with the honesty thing.  It’s a good thing to be honest, and Steph knows that Cary has good intentions, but it may come across to others that she’s just being a shit-stirrer.  Cary agrees, and basically admits that she’s just trying to find a good balance.  Last year, she felt like she wasn’t honest at all, and now this year, it’s too much.  Trust me, I get it.  It sucks being friends with a group of girls who aren’t all friends, or who are arguing with each other.  You want to be loyal to everyone, and it can be a tough balance to find.  I think we all need to take more notes from Steph, because she has truly mastered staying out of any drama this season.

NO TIE FUNDRAISER – 80’S PROM STYLE

The girls are all attending Kam’s event, and they’re dressing the part. (Can I just say that they all killed it!?)  Before we get into what actually happened, let’s talk about how amazing these babes look.

img_4677

D’Andra’s look was my fav – she looks absolutely gorgeous!  I’m honestly obsessed with her big hair – love it LOL.

B Prm

Brandi arrives at Steph’s in a limo so she can pick up her prom date.  They are Prom King & Queen, after all.  They are too funny, I loved this idea and I love how much fun these two have together.

img_4672

At the event, we see Kam, and she is looking fabulous.  Very 80’s Madonna.  She tells us she is the honorary co-chair for the AIDS Services of Dallas, which is what this event is for.  The girls are all chatting, discussing the 80’s, and Kam says, “I was born in the 80’s.”  LMAO, me too Kam.

B and S

In the limo, Brandi and Steph are chatting.  Brandi tells Steph what happened at LeeAnne’s charity event.  She goes on to say that she doesn’t think LeeAnne is being honest and that clearly something is wrong with her and Rich since they haven’t set a date for their wedding yet.  Steph thinks D’Andra is winding Brandi up.  (I don’t think D’Andra is intentionally doing anything – I think she’s formed a friendship with Brandi and is venting her frustrations to her about LeeAnne, which in turn, is winding Brandi up.)  I 100% agree with Stephanie, though, when she says that Brandi shouldn’t care when LeeAnne’s wedding will be.  Brandi also thinks LeeAnne is using Stephanie to annoy Brandi, and I don’t agree with that.  Steph and LeeAnne have both been making an effort to become friends with each other this season, so I don’t think that’s the case.

img_4673

During the event, Cary, Kam and LeeAnne are chatting, and LeeAnne shares how D’Andra and Brandi showed up drunk to her charity event.  LeeAnne is definitely being judgey about Brandi, and I like that Cary steps in and defends her.  Kameron asks if Brandi was invited to the event, and LeeAnne says no.  Again – do you have to be invited to a charity event?  I honestly do not know the answer to this.

img_4676

All of the girls arrive.  Everyone exchanges greetings, and LeeAnne and Brandi are actually being cordial to each other, so at first I’m like, Yay, there’s hope!  But that hope crashes and burns pretty quickly.  Brandi asks LeeAnne if they can talk, and they both move away from the group to have a one on one conversation.  Brandi totally comes for LeeAnne in this scene, saying that she doesn’t think she’s truly changed.

ds

At the table, Kameron brings up the charity event yet again, and D’Andra speaks up and says that she brought Brandi, and it was her fault.  Kameron goes on to say that Brandi was drunk, and Stephanie steps in and says that it’s not D’Andra’s fault.  Thank you, Steph!  Can we please stop talking about this now?

LL

Brandi and LeeAnne are still talking, and Brandi asks LeeAnne why she hasn’t set a wedding date yet.  I will say, I do agree with LeeAnne 100% when she says that it’s not Brandi’s business.  However, when LeeAnne replies with, “How would you feel if I asked you if you had a baby just to save your marriage?” I actually gasped.  Everyone is going to turn this around and say, “She didn’t really say that, she used it as an example”, but I don’t give a fuck, you don’t go there.  If that thought never crossed her mind, she wouldn’t have said it, period.  LeeAnne is pissed and wants to hurt Brandi, end of story.  Brandi retaliates by saying that she believes LeeAnne is jealous of D’Andra, and when L asks why, she says, “because she’s already walked down the aisle and she’s happily married”, to which L responds, “She’s walked down the aisle twice.”  I think that’s a weird response, honestly.  If someone accused me of being jealous of my BFF, that’s not the first thing that comes to mind to say.

D’Andra approaches them, and Brandi leaves, leaving D and L to speak to each other.  D’Andra tells LeeAnne that she’s concerned about her – she says that they talked for three hours last week, and she basically got nothing out of her.  LeeAnne says that she’s going to look at wedding dresses in a few weeks and hopes D will come.  (Like wait, what?)  D’Andra says again that she’s concerned, and LeeAnne says, “Don’t be.”  D’Andra – “I am.”  Then, L says, “If I hear that we lead separate lives one more time I am going to fly into a rage of fury that no fucking meditation bowl can get me out of.”  Well, that escalated.  D’Andra isn’t one to take shit, though, and tells LeeAnne, “Don’t fucking talk to me like that.”

rhod 80s

The other girls are standing around talking, and Brandi tells Cary she’s pissed at her.  I love this “argument”, if you even wanna call it that.  Cary immediately owns that she was wrong.  “You deserve to be pissed at me.  I fucked up.”  They make up quickly, but Brandi is wary of sharing things with Cary in the future, and I get that.

D

D’Andra and LeeAnne get absolutely nowhere.  I feel like D is in such a bad position, and neither of them can see eye to eye.  They can’t get through to each other.  I do find it strange, though, that LeeAnne doesn’t tell D’Andra (either on or off camera) that she has nothing to worry about.  Yes, I know, she tells D she doesn’t have to be concerned, but she’s also being very elusive and vague.  If things were really great in my relationship and my BFF came to me, I might be pissed at first but I would definitely ask her why she had these concerns, and reassure her that I was happy.  LeeAnne isn’t doing these things, which is why I do think that there is more to the story than we know.  I’m just not sure what that is.

Sorry guys, this was an extremely long recap, longer than I realized it was going to be.  I’m excited for next weeks episode.

Until then…..
